Alright... I couldn't have been the only one that was a *bit* surprised by this.
And the preview for next week showed some interesting stuff.
Any thoughts?
I didn't expect him to be in Haiti.

) That came as a surprise for me. Then again, he is the Haitian. lol.
Go! Go! Hiro!

Yeah. It was pretty crazy to see he had the virus. And now he's back with Noah Bennet! Looks like the Haitian's switching sides too!

The Haitian back in action wasn't a surprise, but him having the virus is. That makes a real big question mark how Peter got in that cargo bin. However there is still 4 months we haven't seen yet.

I figured it was him when they said Port-o-Prince(sp). But when he was in the Copy Kingdom and the look on HRG's face! Priceless! Did a little dance and started singing the chorus to "Reunited"

I wasn't sure at first but, when Molinder was walking toward the bed, I knew it was the haitian under the covers.

Remembering episodes like "Six Months Ago" and "Five Years Gone" make me think they'll eventually have some kind of "The Lost Four Months" episode this season.
And since they can't keep doing that EVERY season, my long-long-long term prediction is:
CLIFFHANGER SEASON 2 FINALE! (as in the action picks up in season 3 a moment later)
Call it an Isaac prophecy

As soon as the new boss said Haiti, I took a wild guess and said that the Haitian was the dude that was dying. The cool surprise was that he showed up in Copy Kingdom. How the heck did he know where Noah was?

Because Mohinder's memories told him. And was wiped so that his complicity was put beyond detection.

I was excited to see him back too, and a tad surprised. I avoided spoilers this summer, so had no idea who came back or who didn't this season!
Also, I wonder if, because Mo and No are working together, maybe Mo
let the Haitian take his memory, so he couldn't get in trouble for letting him escape and go to No... does that make sense? That it was planned, that maybe Mo would tell the Haitian how to find No, and then have his mind wiped so he couldn't be held accountable.
(Sorry if I repeated myself there. I'm TIRED)

Yeah. That is a definite possibility, Boz. In order to stay good with the Company and help the Haitian get away to Bennet, Mohinder would have to have the memory loss excuse.
kaelraye
Oct 1 2007, 07:26 PM
I was thinking Mo let him take the memory too. Just because during the phone call with Bennet it sounded like there was this plan going on. Something in the way Mohinder was speaking. And it would be a good plan/excuse to use against the company.

Yes. I was thinking that possibly HRG knew where the Haitian was and manipulated things to get Mohinder there, so that HRG could get the Haitian back with him. I loved that he was really glad to see the Haitian show up at Copy Kingdom.

I'm thinking that HRG may still have a string or two connected inside the company. (He must've used their resources to create new identities for his family, for example.) Maybe he's also working with someone on the inside, or he still has access to their computer files or something.
Hooray for The Return of The Haitian!

I was thinking, Noah, the Haitian, and Mohinder were all in it together. I think Mohinder getting his memories erased was intentional. It's probably better to actually not know than to pretend to not know
hmm .. i never thought about Mohinder intentionally letting Haitian get away ... thanks for pointing it out. I wonder if they'll explain it, i doubt they will.
They still haven't told us The Haitian's name yet ... it would have been a good chance to tell the viewer's his real name (when they passed him the folder). According to a few interviews with the actor Jimmy Jean-Louis, he does have a name.

My only question is, wasn't the Haitian working for Mrs. Petrelli, and thus the company? He seems to switch around sides a lot, but somewhere in the 4 months he contracted the virus and left the company, as they were pretty mad that Mohinder let him escape like that. But obviously it was part of the plan. It's really their own fault, they never said "Hey, this guy will escape if you cure him right away"

My take on the Haitian's intentions is that he works for himself. It seems that way to me and would be an interesting plot device in the future to find out what exactly it is he is trying to accomplish. He seemed to go to the person that will help his personal cause, whatever that may be. He seems more aligned with the "good" in the show and my take on Mrs. Petrelli, Kaito and the others of their "Generation" is that they seem to be trying to do good, but as it has been hinted in small dialogue mentions, they are also trying to fix/hide something terrible they did in the past. Just my 2 cents.

The Haitian didn't actually erase Mohinder's memory; it was part of Mohinder and Bennet's plan. Mohinder acted like he did so that The Company wouldn't be suspicious about The Haitian's escape (Mohinder was supposed to bring him back).
Recall Mohinder's reaction when he learned that he had an "assignment" - he was stunned and upset because he thought he was being taken to the medical records and he needed access to them. Bennet sent Mohinder to the Company to get access to their medical records in order to FIND the Haitian. Fortune fold, Mohinder's first assignment turned out to be his illness. Mohinder told The Haitian where Bennet was, and now Bennet and The Haitian can do whatever is necessary to find the paintings and not have to worry about being tracked down.
Read the web comic.

With The Haitian, all things are possible.

Once we saw Mohinder "blanking out" for a spell and talking with Bob, we figured that Mohinder told more (as shown in the graphic novel) to The Haitian to tell him the plan. It was cool to see him.

I was thinking that, too. But, the circumstances are different than when Claire escaped. Mohinder has already joined the company under false pretenses. If they had a telepath, he's already toast. So, he can just pretend to be mind-wiped.

Mohinder told him. I am sure they had some kind of talk before Mohinder had/did whatever.
Do you think he was wiped, or faked it enough to send "Bob" into thinking "he was the bumbling professor"?

Well Noah does say "You've given me everything I need" as he's looking at the Haitian while he's on the phone to Mohinder.
Plus this weeks comic book on NBC shows the story line that occurs during Mohinders black out!

++ the GNs made it clear that he works for his Laos, which he seems to translate when speaking to other characters as "God" (probably because or else they will go

"huh?")... In other words, he is aligned with his own code of ethics, and just join whichever side suits that I think...
