so after last night i began thinking more about maya and alejandro. i think we can all agree that maya is some "Disease" and alejandro is the "cure."
but this isn't the first time we've seen this..
shanti was a "disease" (the first to have the virus) and it seems like mohinder is the "cure." (his blood)
i think there is a whole theme of brothers and sisters that co-exist to fight each other. first comes the disease (shanti was born first, and maya was also born first despite being twins), then comes the cure.
i think its curious the similarities between maya/alejandro and shanti/mohinder and i doubt its a coincedince how similar their stories are.
what does everyone else think?

the lady who took them across the border mentioned it very clearly that maya was born first, and how she'd "never forget" that

Lets not forget other sibling in the show.
Nathan could be considered a "cure" for Peter's explosive tendencies.
Jessica and Niki were sisters. Niki eventually won over or defeated Jessica.. kinda.
Those two are stretches for sure, but it's there.

I thought about Nathan/Peter and Niki/Jessica as well, but let's remember, they are siblings, not brother/sister.
In both cases, the older sister is the disease, and the younger brother is the cure.
The only other case I can recall of a sister/brother relationship is Claire/Lyle, but Claire is adopted.
Now that I think of it... was Lyle adopted or the child of Noah and Sandra?
It would be interesting to see if Lyle was also adopted and had a power.. None the less... Claire and Lyle aren't blood siblings, so they don't count in this.
**QUICK UPDATE** Just looked on heroes wiki, and apparently, according to a deleted scene, Claire says that they both are adopted. There is hope or you yet Lyle!
