I've been thinking, since Matt CAN read minds. Could he further develop his powers so that he can not only read the minds of the people near him, but people far from him as well? Like, could he concentrate on a certain person and be able to read his/her mind even if he/she was like, in a nother state or something.

I'm sure that we can see the extent of Matt's powers by looking at what his father is capable of. Since his father could "see" Molly from a distance Matt should be able to do the same. At first I was turned off by the idea of seeing other characters with the same powers as others but now I think it's a good idea to see how others use the same ability.

Now I'm curious since he broke his father's inflicted nightmare if Matt is still vulnerable to The Haitian.

He can already read people's minds from a good distance. He read HRG's thoughts from the cell next door and continued to hear him when he freed Ted. Now, it appears that he can send his thoughts into another mind. It seemed like he did when he freed himself and Nathan from the nightmares.

Could he possibly free Molly now as well?

from what I've seen in a couple previews for Out of Time, Bob convinces Matt that he can do exactly what Papa Parkman does
