Now that Claire has lied about becoming a cheerleader, she will have to actually become one, so her lie looks valid to HRG.

I guess that explains why she is wearing a blue cheerleader outfit in the group photo on the NBC Heroes web page.

yeah, she has to become a cheerleader now. West has to be okay with that, that's the lie Claire came up with so she could meet up with him.

..but really West wants her to be happy and be herself and part of that is her being a cheerleader so he won't think bad of her for becoming a cheerleader.

But yes Claire will become a cheerleader, we saw it in photos where she wore the uniform and from show descriptions where she is said to try out and become a cheerleader...etc

I don't think West wants her to be happy . . . I think he is working for the company, and if she is a cheerleader, that might make his job harder.

Has West mentioned whether he has a father around? If West has the marks on his neck I doubt he is with the company, at least willingly. If HRG is the one that put the marks there he just whiped his mind and turned him lose. He may have a father that knows his secret and is protecting him like HRG is protecting Claire and he may be the shooter.

I suspect a conflict with those other "mean" cheerleaders . . .

I think Claire was genuine about wanting to be a cheerleader. She indicated it on the first day of school. So, it wasn't a lie, just not the reason for sneaking around that Noah asked her about. So she wasn't lying about wanting to be a cheerleader but was hiding that she had a boyfriend which is what Noah suspected. But if Noah looked at the picture closer, he might have recognized that she was wearing a cheerleading outfit.

It's entirely conceivable, perhaps unlikely, but conceivable that West is working for of the Company. We know that there is no love lost between West and Noah. Just because West has been bagged and tagged does not preclude him from working for OWI (remember Claude?).

West may turn out to be the shooter or he may be facilitating Noah's imminent demise by way of assassination (as depicted in Isaac's painting).

So, while I'm not yet convinced that West is working for the Company, I can see where it would be possible, making Claire a pawn in all of this.

If this turns out to be true (i.e., that West is a Company man) then perhaps we'll see an aerial 'dogfight' between Nathan and West this season.

Claire appears to be kissing who we think may be West with her father on the ground. That would be a pretty hateful thing for her to do. I can't wait to see how this plays out. Another thing, what are the odds that a girl with a father who flies starts dating a boy who can fly? I can't wait to find out what's up with that too.

Maybe West has nothing to do with Noah dying. We already know that just because somebody is in the painting, doesn't indicate that that person perform the act. There are plenty of people with powers that also might want Noah taken down or killed.

The most obvious is the one he already killed for the company, Claude. Claude could be the person that is after Noah because he tried to kill him years ago.

Mr. Parkman, aka the nightmare man, is another person that might want Noah dead. Noah is trying to arrange for the company to fall and can take somebody out without even being there, so nobody will recognize him.

If she dealt with Jackie for so many years, she can deal with anything. xD

What I meant was ...if that is Noah, West and Claire in the painting and whether or not they had anything to do with it they are kissing each other on the lips while Noah is dead on the floor. I could see a consoling hug taking place regardless of who did it but making out seems a little inappropriate. How could she hate him so much in just a few more weeks? A kiss on the lips is like celebrating his death.

True but there are bullet holes in the window next to them. If it happened right then they would have seen that and if it happened earlier there would be glass on the floor and things they would have noticed. They only way it could be a kiss that wouldn't be weird is if she were just saved from the person on the floor. IDEA. Sylar with Candice ability disguising himself as her dad to get close to Claire and the real HRG shoots him through the window. Sylar then leaves to film Star Trek.

I was thinking they just came in the door, it is dark and they didn't notice it. Ive gone into a dark room with someone before and was so wraped up that I didn't recognized what was going on. Then, stepped on something to get my attention.

I read that the show this year was going to be broken down into complete story arcs and then take a little break and come back with a different one. Is this true and is this painting going to be the finale of the first arc? I'm dying to see how this plays out.

Hmmmm...seeing as how you can't see her lips in the painting, how do you really know that is whats happening? Granted, it does look like she COULD be kissing, but she could also just as easily be being held back by the other dark figure. And there is no guarentee that it is either Claire or West in the painting. Remember, Isaac's paintings aren't always 100% of what they seem to be, and they don't always come to pass.

There are two screencaps I've seen. The one that shows the top part shows her head tilted to the side, eyes closed and if they aren't kissing I don't know what else they could be doing. Her arms are around him in an embrace. He could be shaking her and she could be unconcious but we'll have to wait and see. I'm hoping it's Sylar with using Candaces powers to impersonate HRG and the painting is before he changes back.
