I never really thought about it with Pete's hair, but i definitely was thinking something similar about Nathan. After he shaved he still didn't look like he did last season and i thought it had to be his awful hairstyle. It really is just so, so bad.

I added comparison shots of both old and new to the first post so look there also. I didn't want to clog up the thread with too much duplication.

But really in Season 1 Nathan was mister clean cut, mister by the book and as such he had a nice clean short hair cut. Where as his brother was a younger more naive scruffier type, Claude even commented on Peter's hair being in his eyes as he talked about how he was so "young".

But now Nathan has been a big drunk until his Mother's attack, he let himself go to the point he became Mr. Beardy lol. So now while he shaved his beard he has kept his longer hair doo. As for Peter, he has amnesia and lost his hair somehow.

I thought the Emo-Bang had disappeared but it just got transfered to Nathan in the Explosion!

To tell you the truth, I've noticed it since around the time they went to Comic-Con.

I liked Peter's old hairstyle when he had that comic book hero hair in the face thing going on. I like Nathan's new hairstyle even better than the old. He isn't so buttoned down and proper looking now

Yeah, I've noticed that since Adrian started growing his beard out. I like this trading of hairstyles actually, they definitely look better now.

the Heroes' hairstylist has powers of her own

Actually, I was thinking about the theory that some of Peter's power could have been absorbed by Nathan, who now is fortified with vitamins and "Peter Power" (allowing him to survive and somehow mask his scars). The result of the drain could also be responsible for Peter's amnesia.. the explosion took a lot out of him, in more ways than one.

Maybe the hair thing was intentionally done to show how the two brothers have become more alike.

Yeah, the difference is that Heroes loves to work backwards. They tell us the result right from the beginning, the mystery is how it happens. In this case, we know (or at least we think we know) that Nathan somehow lived, we just don't know how.
