Heroes came in Third yesterday with a 6.3/10 Market share in the ratings! I am a little disappointed...with Kristen Bell coming in I thought they would be an upsurge in the ratings. Quality wise, I think Season 2 is on the upswing with even better stuff on the way. However due to the serialized nature of the show I am worried we will be unable to attract a larger audience for renewell.
(Sigh)...Does anyone have any further details of last nights ratings? I am...afraid people.

I really don't think it's a big concern. I mean, Heroes never had the BEST ratings.. they are about as good as last years... however i did think adding Kristen Bell would have attracted more, but..i really do think they over hyped her.

I really wouldn't be afraid about being third overall. I believe it is usually first in the most valued demographic, 18-49. Who cares if old people are watching Dancing with the Stars instead of Heroes? For starters, this isn't lost. Once volume 2 ends(which will be ep.11), more people may come on board. Also, NBC doesn't have much going for them. Bionic Woman premiered at number 14 and they acted like it was a gift from God(Heroes usually ends up in the top 10 of most watched shows). I wouldn't worry about it being axed. If you do want to worry about something, worry about NBC making them cut costs. We could lose some of the bigger stars(Claire comes to mind, as does Sylar).

I suppose so...but all that Heroes Hate out there is really getting to me. Entertainment Weekly is rating it at a C+ and you can imagine the hate I've been getting on the other Boards.
If this keeps on, I am afraid Season 3 may not be possible. I just can't bear to lose Heroes. It is my favourite show on TV.

Why be worrying about something you have no control over? Just enjoy the show and let the number-crunchers/bean counters wonder/worry if there's a problem. There probably isn't an issue about a cancellation, and then, what have ya done? Worried about nothin'...

I hear you. But its not easy. Season 2 is getting better and better. I wish more people could appreciate it. It just annoys me that so many viewers from Season 1 have stopped watching. Was their faith so weak? (Sigh)

From my point of view and -all-of the people I know who watch the show (which is about 10) all agree that Heroes is in a slump. One of my friends has totally stopped watching the show, and why "because nothing happens". He is right. Last season I was disappointed much of the time, yet I kept watching because I really, really wanted it to be better and once in awhile you would see this glimmer of what the show could be. Now its back to its snails pacing plots and tons of characters that I could care less about.
I will give it till sweeps to turn itself around otherwise I get to do something else with my Monday nights.

Heroes is NBC's #1 rated show and its consistently placing in the top 10. It's not going anywhere. Lighten up.

Why do you care so much what a stupid magazine says? Make your own opinions/decisions. If you like it, who cares what everyone else thinks.
Just enjoy the show dude, Heroes is doing just fine in the ratings. I'm pretty sure it's actually getting better ratings then season one did.

Yeah, I'm starting to hate the other boards I visit as well.
Take into mind, too, that alot of the newer viewers have only watched the 1st season on DVD. They never experienced the agony of waiting for the next big event. They want instant gratification. They haven't built up a tolerance to waiting.

Calm down. Heroes is still overall the #1 show on Mondays in the 18-49 demographic, whic many call the "money demo." That's the one that advertisers covet. Like Nissan.
It is also NBC's #2 show outside of Deal or No Deal.
My fear is what will happen to the support if there is a writer's strike?

Last nights numbers was 10.7 million viewers. Still NBC's top show. But Heroes lost the top spot on the 18-39 demographic.

I don't think Heroes is anywhere close to being cancelled. There's a huge international audience for the show. I wouldn't worry about the ratings too much yet. This show really isn't for everyone as shocking as that may be to most of us. Many people don't have the patience to wait for all the story arcs to run their course. Fortunately there is a big following for it by a lot of ardent fans (like most of the people at this forum) and NBC knows that. I don't know what the DVD sales were like or how much they contribute to the overall pot of revenues, but I'd guess that NBC sold quite a few from season 1. As was already mentioned, this show is #1 in its time slot in the key 18-49 demographic. My father is in his 70's and loves the show and all his friends watch it too.
Yeah, stay away from those forums that only gripe about the show.

There's a saying: It takes ages of good experiences to earn a customer and just one bad experience to lose one. Its not the viewers fault they're not watching, its the writer's.
