He goes from taking her power to giving her more power and being so nice to her?
What is that man up to?

I don't trust him at all but I wonder if he is a Bennet type twist (ends up being partially good)
hmmmmm anyone have any ideas?
ilikemoney09
Who is the her you are referring to? Monica or Niki?
Leek
And..heres the thing about Bob.

After this whole episode...I was all..."You know what, Bob's not such a bad guy. Infact..I like Bob!".

And then we get a flash forward to the future and..well, you see. Bob sucks once more.

Maybe he's shmoozing her, in order to recruit her.

Who is the her we are talking about? I'm assuming it's Monica, but it could be Niki. WTF?
Aerdna
Monica, money.

I don't believe he took Niki's ability.

You think Bob did this?

He is a slippery old devil.

Bob probably wants to recruit Monica to work for the company. She could be very valuable to them, and as she is still young, they think she'd be easily influenced. You can tell she's kinda suspicious about him. Sometimes when people are TOO nice, they usually want something. Bob would be considered "morally gray" also..not completely good, but not completely bad. Seems they're all about doing bad things to do good. Doesn't quite make sense. Maybe he should take a cue from My Name is Earl: Doing good things feels good. And doing bad things feels bad. smile.gif Just as a rule: NEVER TRUST THE COMPANY

I assume he wants to make Monica more powerful and then recruit her to work for him.
sucky_moto
yeh, i don't find it a coincidence that bob slipped in a lil martial arts movie. the dude was definetly thinking ahead for the company if he wanted to recuit her.
Shirtless Sylar
What it comes down to is that he is willing to do anything to accomplish his goal of

"keeping those with uncontrollable powers either in control or in the mortuary or...powerless"

Why would he care about some random girl from Louisiana?

Because Mohinder cares and Mohinder holds the key to a lot of what he is trying to accomplish right now.

So he starts being nice to her once Mohinder doesn't bow down to his bluff

(the "bluff" being Mohinder's fear that they may get rid of him, and then Molly would not be able to be helped).

So yeah, I don't think Bob is "evil" so to speak, but he is all about controlling people with these abilities, that is for sure.

but how do we even know it is the shanti virus and not maya and her power just taken to the extreme?

Personally I think bob sees the death of kaiko and the attack on angela as a sign that he needs to repent and change his ways.
RedWolf
Making them powerful hmm...

The same stuff Hana was injected with in the GN?
