Seriously, is New York = World? Is the Universe surrounded around NY? So if they can fix NY, they can fix everywhere eh? Sheesh...

Not trying to start an argument but I think you're being a little harsh there... NY was/is Peter's home.. Consider it some latent memory that made him teleport there.

It's pretty obvious the virus has affected the entire world. It's just Peter happens to have showed up at New York. Probably considering he was thinking about it, what with finally learning that's where he lives and all.

I agree - Times Square is just an easily recognizable place for him to show up. And seeing Times Square empty? You immediately know something is wrong.

Obviously if 93% of the population is dead it isn't just NYC that needs saving. It might be that NYC (or somewhere nearby) is one of the few places left where some survivors are holed up, so Peter and Caitlyn will find some answers.

it was november 8th. last season every episode was one day. i guess the writers realized how stupid that was and made it the same as our timeline.

I am thinking that a large part of the population that is still alive are those with abilities.

I"d also have to ask, where did this 93% figure come from?

the 93% comes from the preview that nbc showed after the 2x06 episode.
