Didn't we just have a long, emotional scene several episodes back where West makes the statement that just because Claire can heal that he doesn't want to see her hurt? I think the writers just destroyed their entire arc this episode. Now West doesn't mind injuring his girlfriend if it's so they can play games with a high school rival. And I think that scene really cheapened their alleged romance. I think this is what happens when writers focus too much on emotional appeal and drama and not enough on reason and continuity.

How funny, I was thinking the same exact thing! Tsk, tsk, West.

C'mon now. Hes telling her what she wants to hear and in this instance he's using that to manipulate her.

West is a smart kid.

And, we finally get a Hero that wears a costume!

Wonder if that black mask and outfit will become his secret identity, and only Claire will know who he is.

West is a stooge for the Company, or another outfit that has interest in specials. He is leading her down the path of temptation, using her powers for personal gain. Claire isn't being very nice lately.

I definitely think West is working for someone; he's not just the cute guy in school. Now, if he wanted to be totally up front and honest with Clairbear, he wouldn't have TOTALLY evaded the subject of his parents. Anyone catch that? Kinda makes you wonder about him more. His response to CB's question about following his parents' rules was "I can fly".

Am I the only one who thinks what Claire and West did was incredibly stupid? All it would take is the cheerleaders story to get out, and while hardly anyone would believe her, those of importance of the Company may notice and have a look. They must have people looking for strange stories and accounts that could potentially be a hero; how else would they find alot of them without Molly helping?

This is a really big WHAT IF thing here, I think I may be going out on a limb here. Stop me if what I say seems too straight up crazy.

What if he knew that if Claire couldn't at least make her lie to her father seem believable, then she wouldn't be able to go out with him anymore? What if he wanted to see Debbie knocked down a peg just as much as Claire and the rest of the cheerleading squad did? What if West understood how much cheerleading means to Claire?

And did we forget about the fact that Claire agreed to this plan?

I dunno. Maybe this does seem way too crazy.
