Where are they right now in the timeline? Like what year?

Obviously they’re in 2007 if June, 2008 is “next year” per Peters time jump.. but I just don’t get where they are at in the present.

Season 1 ended in early November.

Season 2 starts “four months later” so in March.

So if Peter has a vision of June and says its NEXT YEAR.. then that would mean that the Heroes are in March of 2007 right now? Or is it March 08 and the apocalypse is coming up in 2 months?

Yes, Heroes is as we see it now is taking place in March of 07, and Peter flashed forward a little over a year in time. If it was March 08, Peter wouldn't say next year, he'd say a few months from now.

The election was to have happened November 7, 2006, so season 1 had to end some time before that to 'stop the exploding man'

Just because Peter says its one year doesn't mean it has to be exactly 365 days into the future.
