Sorry if this has been discussed, but what does the title "The Line" mean in relation to this episode? I can't seem to understand why they chose this title.
Ok thanks.

A couple of "lines" spring to mind.

The border Maya, Alejandro and Sylar crossed to get into the US could be a Line.

Hiro changing history could be a line he shouldn't cross.

Mr Bennet torturing and killing his mentor might be a line he crossed.

I'm sure there are others!

Love the name Gelert, btw. Any connection to the Duncton books?

I would like to respectfully offer a Bob Dylan song that fits the theme of the episode:

The line it is drawn
The curse it is cast
The slow one now
Will later be fast
As the present now
Will later be past
The order is
Rapidly fadin'.
And the first one now
Will later be last
For the times they are a-changin'.
Seclusion
Everyone has to make morally ambiguous decisons; cross the moral line or not?

Hiro struggles between kissing Yaeko and preserving history.
Kensei betrays Hiro.
Noah tortures and murders Ivan.

All crossing the line, or at least or uncertain about crossing.
Chrusiel
mohinder crossing his line
bob possibly finding that he crossed his line regretably
claires game with west and pushing her moral lines

maybe its referring to the line on hot cross buns.. maybe

I was thinking what Bob said to Mohinder:

"You're valuable to us, Dr. Suresh. Not just for your blood or your mind, but to keep us in line"

So I think the line refers to moral boundaries that the several characters crossed...

^^^

what he said - the moral boundaries - the line that has been crossed..

I believe the open scene showed the title, "The Line," with yellow Police tape with "Do Not Cross" written on it. I think it was basically written out for you in the event you didn't see the symbolism. As mentioned, each character "crossed the line" in their own story, setting up events for the remainder of the season. Consider it like the television version of "crossing the threshold." Each hero is forced to make choices during their journey.
