Claire and Adam are nicely tanned, but if their powers worked correctly... THEY SHOULDN'T! Or maybe I just have my science wrong.
p.s. I wonder how many random children and grandchildren and great grandchildren, etc. Adam has. He must have tapped that at some point during his 400 years.

I certainly cannot figure out the "science" behind how this power works, or the extents that it may go, but tanning is not injury. If you want to go the route that the power is activated when tissue is injured, then, yes, they can tan, however, once the UV creates a burn, then they will heal.

Tanning could be considered adaptation to the environment, not injury. Burns would be healed, but a nice shade of brown might be considered "OK" by the body.

Why can Claire regrow hair after being nuked, while Peter can't regrow a fringe? Why can Claire get her hair dyed (avoided future), while Peter can't get a tattoo? Regeneration is a complicated thing...

Hair is dead tissue. Claire's hair growing back after the incident with Ted is just convenience. We would not want her to run around bald, would we?

lol i hope viewers will one day realize these are all actors, they must look a certain way, and minor details about how Claire, Peter and Adam/Kensei look is really not going to affect the story, there is room for suspension of disbelief in this show as in any other peice of fiction
