I just finished watching the episode again. Adam told Peter that we are going to change history. Am I right? That changes everything I was thinking about Adam being involved with the virus. What do you think Adam has in mind about changing the past.

Not sure, but unless Adam has access to someone who can see the future, there's no way he knows what's coming like Peter does. So I don't think Adam is talking about the future but something in the past.

I'm guessing that his mind was wiped along with Peter's, and he wants to go back in time and find out what happened. One of his disciples must have filled him in a little bit if his mind was wiped. That could be the main reason they all hate the company, because they fear the company may step in and erase their brains when they think that person has gone too far. Just a guess on my part.

I don't know because Adam did seem confused when Peter didn't remember him. I don't think Adam's mind was erased. Maybe Peter is going to use Peter to go back when Hiro betrayed him?

The exact dialouge was

"Peter, what the hell was that?" "Do you know me?"

"Of course I know you. It's me, Adam. Don't you remember? You and I are going to change history."

I got the impression that Adam is planning on using Peter to go back and mess with Hiro. He could be planning to just go back in time and kill Hiro before Hiro went back in time, or he could be planning to go all the way back to the 17th century to stop Hiro from taking his princess away from him. Either way, I'd bet that his plan to change history involves getting back at Hiro in some way.

I don't think he means changing the past. You may have noticed that sometimes, particularly on this show, it seems, when people say "change history," mean change the course of history, or in other words, change the way things eventually turn out. Listen to the way Angela and Linderman talk about the bomb plan in season I. And from their perspective, I think this especially makes sense, since what with prophetic powers and time traveling, it is somewhat like the future already exists and doing what you do in the present does "change the course of history" even if "history" is strictly treated as something that has already taken place.

just saw the preview for the next episode and I saw that when they detained peter after exploding..adam and peter met...so that means that they talked about their "plan" in that place...

Luigi, can you edit your post and spoiler tag that? Some people don't watch previews...

I like your idea. It makes a lot of sense to me.

i think adam is a little more intelligent than that. he knows that he can hurt hiro much more without altering the past. he killed his father. that's pretty rough. and who knows what else he has planned.

Or Adam really is the good guy and he is OK with the betrayal of Hiro. Because it made him who he is today. And he just wants to find Hiro and say "Allo Carp, 'ow ya doin'?"
Chrusiel
Adam is a dodgy old codger right? Look, Adam KNOWS Peter has lost his memory... he will use Peters abilities for personal gain just like he used Maury Parkman... I like the concept of future history being included in 'change history' thats cool. Adam is a bad, bad seed... when Peter finds out he's been played... well lets not forget that Peter met Matt in the first season so.. yeah..

I believe that Adam seeks to destroy the world's population to some end. He is presenting to Peter the tale that he and Peter will fight the future and change it. He is, in fact, manipulating Peter into having Peter assist to make that dark future come true.

Linderman was Adam's protege. Adam is the real deal.
