Anybody else really happy the show decided to take the sphere grid route and allow for an evolution of the abilities along certain matching traits over time?
It adds a tremendous amount of potential for the cast to explore for seasons to come and could potentially help round out some characters such as Matt for example.
I'm not saying he's useless but I wouldn't mind seeing him chuck a bullet back at Sylar with his own bit of telepathy.
The danger of overpowering a character is always there but I think this is one of the more wise additions to the mythos this season.

Matt wasn't useless before, but he certainly didn't have a fighting power. Now he has the potential of being as dangerous as Professor X.

True, but the question is does peter have *all* of the matt parkman's abilities or only limited to his mind reading?
I like Peter as a chracter If it's the former then it's waaaay too imbalancing for the show.

From what we've been led to believe so far, it would appear that while Peter is limited to mind reading right now, he could learn to do more with it just like Matt did.

you cant move cupcakes with thelepathy ... his power relates to the mind not the physical world.
he would be able to fire off a therothical mind bullet but that's about it.

My guess would be Peter is like "Jack of all trades, master of none" - he won't fully develop each ability, bec he doesn't focus on just that one.

for seasons to come
Don't be so sure about that. If the 'seasons to come' end up being anything like this season, expect less and less viewers.

And why are you here then? Maybe you're looking for the LOST board or something?
Moving along, yes, now that the characters can develop their power, we can see something interesting in regards to their ability. I actually wish we can see some of the characters practicing their power.

Because I'm stating a fact. This season is getting rocked out by a reality show where B, sometimes C or D, celebrities dance around. **Deleted**
I'm part of the demographic the show needs to keep in order to produce more episodes, and if I as an individual am getting turned off to it then I'm sure there are PLENTY of others like me.

I concur with the "jack of all trades, master of none," theory.
If Peter was a "master" of something, why would he need Adam's blood to cure his brother?
Granted, Adam helped him come to his senses regarding the company but still... there was really no need to bring Adam to his brother. If he was really a 'master' of a power he acquires (like Adam's), he could have just gotten his own blood to cure Nathan.
And to add to the developing powers theory... I think Peter was the first one to fully develop or at least have his power grow.
He started off just being able to mimic the powers of those around him - only when they were there. Then he started figuring out that he doesn't need others to activate the power. And now? He seems to instinctively let out whatever power suits his needs. Maybe the next phase of this growth is getting to use more than one power at a time.

I agree Peter is "Jack of all trades" but I also think he is the most powerful, he just does not know how to use all of his gifts to thier full potential.

B.K. has a certain attention to detail, doesn't he? Landman checks in again this week with a handful of questions and before he got to his question he offered up a big thanks for doing this Q&A week in and week out. "When Peter met Hiro from the future, Hiro's powers were much more advanced than they currently are, so the question is does Peter absorb powers at full potential when he meets someone or only to the extent that the hero understands his power, if at all?" Interesting. By this thinking, is it possible Peter already has Hiro's powers at the height of his abilities?A big "you're welcome" to your big thank you. Week in and week out, it's been our pleasure. We mentioned last week about Peter inheriting, for lack of a better word, the "raw material" of someone's abilities. So, if we're not full of it, meeting Future Hiro and regular Hiro might yield the same effect. So Peter, probably has Hiro's abilities in a less developed form than present Hiro - since he has not practiced with them. In fact, he might not even realize he has them.

A whole load of people asked this question, but Hugo from Canada asked it best. "Peter met Eden in Mohinder's apartment back in episode 4, 'Collision.' Is it safe to assume that he absorbed her power even though she never used it in front of him? Furthermore, will Peter ever learn what Eden's power was, and therefore be able to use it himself?" We'll add that it certainly seems like that power could come in handy if you need to get some other powered figure under control. It certainly would. Peter definitely would have Eden's ability in his arsenal, but he only met her briefly and even then, didn't know she had the ability. However, if Peter ever had an opportunity to sit down with Suresh, Peter might learn about a lot of different abilities he might be able to access. That is, if Peter is going to meet up with Suresh.
