When Elle catches up with Adam and Peter she shoots them both with electricity. If you watch closely Adam appears to jump into the wall before the bolt hits him and quickly recovers from the attack. Compare this to Peter who not only set on fire, but also is thrown several feet away. If you buy into the theory that Adam was planted there either by Bob/Elle or put himself in that position ( requires him to be Bob/Elle's superior) then this scene would be considered stong evidence.
Note : I have no idea whats going on with the story line. Just playing Devils Advocate

i really love this idea and i won't be suprised if you are right, although i think this piece of evidence doesn't support it. His jumping before the shot was most likly just an editing/Visual effects goof (yes even the perfect trip sometimes). As far as the the being set on fire, well that might be evidence of you theory. Like i said this would be so cool if its true, just alot more people controling people. One thing is for sure Adam is using Peter like i am assuming he has used others so many times before.

Its not like Elle had to worry about hurting Adam. He's immortal, and she's a sadist. There's no reason whatsoever for Elle to hold back when frying Adam, because she knows she won't really hurt him.
Adam may still be in cahoots with the company, but its going to take more evidence than that to convince me.

The jumping-before-it-hits-him thing was probably just a mistake by the special effects guys. Even if Adam and Elle had somewhat planned this out, I highly doubt they would have gone through and said, "Okay, now, you'll have him use, say... the walking-through walls thing? That won't screw up our upholstery too much at least. Anyway, your motivation is you're real excited, but kinda' scared at the same time as you escape after your 30- was it 30 we were using?- years of imprisonment, and then, when we get to that one row of crates, I'll give you a little 'love zap,' and let's say, you, oh, I don't know... jump about a foot back and then run away? All right? Dress rehearsal at 7:00?" Besides which, Elle could zap him as hard as she wants and set him on fire like no one's business and he'd be fine, so I don't see what the point would be to just play-act it in a noticeably fake way. As for Peter being set on fire- does every zap have to have equal force and effect? Elle is probably angrier at Peter(who she thought she was involved with) than Adam.
