Why would Hiro's Dad not have expected Kensei? The symbol on the picture was Kensai (Adam)'s symbol, and they were part of the group that locked up Kensei, why would they not have expected it?

Maybe he didn't know him as Kensei... just as Adam
Nathans Mom knew about Kensei, so why didn't Hiro's dad?

They all thought Kensei was locked up. He was probably expecting Maury.
Kaito probably did not know Adam escaped form his cell
And, if Adam knew he was Hiro's father, he probably would have befriended him to make it all the worse for Hiro.
the symbol didnt belong to only adam (it was the symbol to petrelli seniors law firm and im sure they all knew it from different things). and also they probly figured he was still locked away since it seems they dont keep up with the company anymore.

Of the 12 didn't it seem Maury would be the one most capable of homicide? We don't know about Ms. Pratt, but the others have fairly benign powers.
