...to shoot him?

So HRG knows that it is possible that he will be shot and it is likely that the shooter will be Mohindar.

HRG has Mohindar at gunpoint just after he punches him in the face.

Why did he allow Mohindar to "escape"?

Why did he give Mohindar the chance of shooting him?

Why didnt he just lockup Mohindar in some deep basement, while doing the Claire/Elle exchange?

This doesnt make any sense at all...

...unless HRG and Mohindar made up a plan for Mohindar to shoot him.

Can you find any other reason as to why HRG would allow himself to get shot by Mohindar? If you can, plz tell us about it.

Whose gun was it too? Mohinder's was taken away. If Elle had one it was taken away. Bob had his in his pocket.

Yes HRG knew that Mohinder was likely to shoot him according to the paintings, and if you remember the episode and especially the scene where Mohinder punches him, in my opinion there are 2 reasons why HRG didn't shot Mohinder:

1. Just after West catches Elle & knocked her out, Mohinder gunpointed HRG and at that particular moment we can see briefly the painting of Mohinder holding a gun before the screen goes back to the "real" action. I think this was to show that HRG remembered the painting and therefore he was able to react and prevent Mohinder from shooting him

2. When HRG is gunpointing Mohinder he's going to shoot him but finally changes his mind after West asked him what is he going to do

Perhaps HRG thought that he prevented the prediction as he prevented Mohinder attempt to shot him. However, if you think a bit more, this scene wasn't supposed to be the prediction as on the painting we can see HRG, Claire & another guy from the back and during this scene Claire's not there ; )

I'm not sure to remember the exactly but at that moment, I think HRG does not know that Claire has been abducted by Bob. He just knew that Mohinder betrayed him as Mohinder called him and gave a false information about where was West whereas HRG was with West at the same time.

The way I see it is this:

In the moment where we saw Mohinder pointing the gun at Noah, and it goes to the picture for a brief moment, and then Noah punches him, I think Noah thought that was it.

Like "I already stopped it, I'm safe." but what he didn't realize is that he wasn't safe YET.

With the viewing eye, I could already tell that Noah wasn't safe yet.

Dramatic irony... plays with ya.

We knew he wasn't safe, but Noah didn't. He thought he'd already taken care with it.

Don't you hate it when you can see it coming, and those darn characters ignore your shouts from the couch! "Look at Mohinder, HRG!" BANG! "NOOOOOOOO!" smile.gif

I know! LoL.

The last scene was very predictable. I saw it all coming, from the looks the Blondies gave each other, to the shot at the end. It was a cliche...

Well, at the very least, now that Mohinder was his enemy and clearly a threat, I don't see why HRG didn't take him with when they brought Elle back to his house and keep him prisoner. It seems rather strange of him to just knock Mohinder out and leave him there to get up and go back to his business.
