Ok since I dont see any topics about this ... Kaito Nakamura does not age very well if we were to believe thats how he looked like in 1977 and now. I actually thought for a second that it wasnt Kaito and it was just someone who worked there. When I heard the actor speaking thats when I realized that the writers were actually trying to make us believe that was Kaito in 1977 blink.gif . hahaha I mean come on at least make his appearance in 1977 somewhat believable. So what do you guys think ?

Yeah, what were they thinking casting that guy in the role of Kaito? It would have been so much easier if they had taken footage of Sulu from the original Star Trek and just cut and pasted him into the scenes! That would have been much more believable!

I totally agree, shame on the production.

In 1977 was around the time Hiro was born. George Takei is already playing Kaito Nakamura when Hiro is around 5-10 (on the rooftop of Deveaux building, then at his wife's funeral). So using another actor for 1977 Kaito was really laaaaaaaaaaaame.

Moreover, this other guy doesn't look like George Takei AT ALL.

On the other side, Victoria Pratt's younger version was nice, and well chosen.

Worse flashback Ever! If this is what they do with a big Petrelli flashback I will be so mad.

On a side note Hiro is 25 not 30 so he wasn't born in 1977. Perhaps his daughter, who is older. Hiro is the "Oldest son", but not the oldest. Nathan was about 8 or 9.

What? really? Masi Oka is supoposed to be 25? Gosh, he looks at least 33 to me... Wait, maybe that's because he IS 33.

just because an actor is a certain age doesn't mean that their character is that age... look at West for example... the actor who plays him is, iirc, 27 years old and he plays a 18 year old high school kid...

Yeah I thought it was pretty ridiculous too. Victoria Pratt didn't look anything alike, either. But I got over it and moved on; as long as they don't make a habit of sending Hiro back in time to see actors that look nothing like the people they are supposed to portray.

Kaito is 40 in that scene and he is 53 at his wife's funeral and 54/5 in Company Man. I think he aged well...
Explosivo
They should have used de-aging CGI like they did in X-men for X and Magneto when they picked up the young Jean Gray. Kaito looked completely different in just 13 (adult) years?

There goes the budget... laugh.gif ...

But I think if they have extra money lying around, they'd use it first to perfect the flying scenes that everyone keeps complaining about (though they look okay in my book lol...)

Yeah, I just think the actor who played Kaito in 1977 looked really young for 40. Other than that I didn't have a problem with him.
