On my way home from work today I was thinking about Nathan and his future and him being useful come a big fight. He's said before that he's just a man who can fly, but he could be so much more. With his background in the armed forces he's got to have some knowledge of combat techniques that would be useful in battle against a villain. So armoring him up would be a logical next step for his character, so he can be a strong leader not just behind the scenes but on the frontlines. We've seen that he gets enough power behind his flight that he can bullet up into the sky, so the weight of the armor shouldn't be a problem if he needs to fly. Plus armor is just some much cooler looking than spandex/leather costumes. I know it probably won't happen but isn't it a cool thought to have.

As a ginormous Iron Man fan, I think there needs to be some armored Heroes in the Heroes-Universe. I get all giddy thinking about it. laugh.gif

Oh almost forgot about the colors, Nathan would definitely be like a Deep blue with Black and maybe some red thrown in somewhere for his armor, something that makes you think of a politicians fashion sense.

Elton John?

The show has definitely played down the military side of Nathan. I would like to see him kick some behind...

You and me both.

There is this one picture I found on DeviantArt a couple of months ago, where a fantastic artist did different "superhero" versions of the heroes characters including Nathan - "The Flying Politician", and his outfit was this crazy (and sexy!) cross between a pilot's and a general's uniforms.

Sadly, I'm at work right now and we have DA blocked because some people don't know how to properly mark their work as mature dry.gif , so I can't find it to post it. Hopefully someone else has come across it and can post a link. The same artist did outfits for Claire "The Indestructable Cheerleader" who had a cheerleading outfit on plus a leather jacket, knee-high lace up biker boots and a spiked belt, one for Hiro (who's hero name I can't remember) in a Bruce Lee martial arts outfit plus a samura-style long vest and his shoulder bag, and then Niki/Jessica "Schizophrenica" who just looked... hot.

If nobody's posted it by the time I get home, I'll try to remember to find it and post it myself.

^ Is it that one where he's standing against a white background and has a star patch on one of his shoulders?

I think someone's put up a link for it a while back.

Is it this one?

That's it! Thanks for finding it for me! *yum*

heh, I got all sorts of details wrong, but the art is still fabulous.

Wow that's some pretty awesome artwork! I like the idea of a militaristic outfit for him.

Yay! I found ratscape on deviantART a week ago as well and loved his stuff. Even though I'm not too wild about the military aspect. wink.gif
