If you have watched Powerless(leave if you have not watched) you know that nathan was shot at the end. If you are a nathan fan like me, you want him to survive. tim kring has said that nathan's fate will be decided after the writer's strike. maybe we can help make up their mind. leave one post if you want him to survive. (don't post just to say you don't like him) well, the count is currently one.

I'm with you, save Nathan. I have to admit I am sick of bringing back people after their dead, but we all thought Mat was dead and he made from 4 shots to the chest.

You just want him to survive so that Sylar can get Flight!

I hope he survives, Nathan's one of the more interesting characters on the show and Adrians a great actor, it'd be a shame to lose them.

If Sylar is going on to volume 3, Nathan should too. Matt and DL (the first time) both survived being shot, Nathan should too.

Usually I'm very agaist this sort of thing. I don't like making it so the writers feel they *have* to do something, because that isn't allowing THEM to create and tell a story, or letting them say and show what needs to be said and shown. Sometimes in books and movies, and heck even life, things happen that we really, realllly don't want, but they are there for a reason. If Nathan died, it would be for a reason (One would hope).


In this case though, I can't help myself. I love the character of Nathan. Through his depression, anger, arrogance..he always brings this good heart, this ernestness about him...his sense of humor can carry so many scenes, and he, even when his brother was dead, just added so much hope. I just love the character so much, I can't imagine Heroes life with out him.




So I'll "sign" for flying man.

It would be a shame to kill off Nathan. The brothers dynamic between Peter and him has been part of the glue that holds the show together since the beginning.

There are many other characters that I'd prefer to see get the boot.

He should definately be saved. Part of the success of the first season was the great chemistry between Nathan and Peter that was missing for most of season 2. Season 3 would be MUCH BETTER if Nathan and Peter have more screen time together!!

While I still am annoyed at Tim Kring copping out and being all "Season 2 sucks" (Where does it leave us fans who have been ENJOYING the season?), I have to agree with your point.

They were just so compelling together. Thing is...we can't go back to that. Not like it was. Nathan doesn't have that control over Peter anymore. If he dies, I think that will be why. He has served his purpose in that respect (which is unfortunate, not to offend anyone, but I feel Nathan has been the stronger character this season. Peter this season..oi..get me a fly swatter).

But yeah, you just wanted so badly to watch the tension and the love between these two characters. I really do miss that, and it was something really golden. I hope we can find some more relationships like that. They tried to do it with Maya and Alejandro, only I think they were too afraid to take their time with it. It was always "Rush rush rush, before people get upset with the lack of action..have Maya kill someone..NOW! again! okay, that should by us a mintute or two...what next?". Peter and Nathan were allowed more moments together...I dunno. *shrug*

Nathan is one of the best characters on the show, and Adrian one of the best actors. The dynamic between him and Peter is amazing! And we hardly got to see them together this season!
I believe the character still has potential!

And the day that he doens't anymore, THEN he can die...and Peter turn evil because of it... (that would be cool, now wouldn't it?)

In Powerless they showed how important Nathan is to Peter. Maybe Peter heals Nathan. I'll be pretty mad if they kill him off for good. The way the brothers interact is one of my favorite parts of the show. I even started to like how Nathan and Matt get along. Greg and Adrian have great on screen chemistry. It would be a shame to get rid of that.

I was so upset when he was shot.. I was like WHAT THE! NOOO WAY MAN! I was like seriously spazzing SAVE NATHAN! I was considering not watching the show actually... I was really starting to love him this season.
Plus he's HOT.

They've now got three characters who's blood can heal ANYTHING (granted one is in the ground for now). They can bring anyone back that they want, which can be useful if they don't overuse it. Alias had a way to make no one ever really dead and they overkilled it to the point where it wasn't a surprise anymore when someone wasn't dead after all.

Either way, I'm not convinced nathan's dead.

Please let Nathan live. His story is not yet complete, he was just renunited with Peter, and there is so much more potential plotline if he lives.

I had this exact idea! I was planning on starting a thread to have a petition to let Nathan live. I think it would be more effective if we put it in the General Forum, which gets more traffic, though.

Oh, and please, God, er... writers... let Nathan live!

I want Nathan to live! Funny thing was, I never knew I loved the guy until I heard the gunshots. But it's never too late to confess, is it?

Nathan is my favorite character since the first episode.

He's a great character, and one of the most interesting ones at the moment. He has still so much to offer. I can imagine Heroes without him.

Don't kill him, his interactions with everybody (Peter, Matt, Hiro and Niki) are great and Adrian is one of the best actors of the show.

I don't really care if he dies, because that doesn't necessarily mean he won't be in any of Volume 3.
I mean, even though Simone died, she was still in the finale. It's not like this is the last time we'll see Nathan.

If the writers wrote that he died for good by the end of volume 3, and it made a lot of sense to the story, then yeah, I'd be up for it. I'd be sad to see him go, but it might be in the best interest of the show.

What I'm really afraid of, though, is if they actually start to kill off more and more characters. I've heard over and over again that the show was originally supposed to have an ever changing cast. I think that would actually be a bad idea. Well, actually, I'm just not sure if Heroes could pull it off, and I would be sad if they attempted to, and failed.
I loved ER for a while, but they replaced so many characters, they may as well have change the name of the show. I don't want that to happen to Heroes!
But at the same time, it has to be true to reality. We lose important people in our lives all the time, but we move on.

At the start of Heroes, I believe that Peter was the focal, everyman's ideal character. I looked up to Peter as a person of character and morale, the one who never lost his way. He made the show for me.

As Volume 2 progressed, Nathan slowly and unexpectedly took over that role. He has so much potential and is a key character of the series for a huge portion of your fanbase. I understand that Heroes will rise and fall, but Nathan has not yet risen to a means justifiable to kill him off.

Do not kill off Nathan. I guarantee that you will kill off a huge portion of your viewers as well, myself included. It'd still be a great show... but it'd lack a hell of a lot for my tastes. The Petrelli family can't always be invincible... but we're not ready to lose them just yet.

There is so much more that can be done with Nathan. As someone who has thought into some of those possibilities, I think it would be a real wast to toss that much good story and such a great character. It's really not necessary to kill off main characters to keep viewers. Please don't make this show a "who's gonna die next?" show. There are so many more plat devices that can be used. And lets not just save him for a few episodes. For the sake of the show, save the guy and KEEP him alive!
