I'm not sure if this has been mentioned but I just realised that Nathan seems to have enchanced hearing...

In the scene where claire is pointing the gun at peter near the end of "how to stop an exploding man",
peter says "Shoot me, there is no other way..."

And then Nathan seems to fly in from quite a far distance away and seems to answer Peter with "Yes there is claire..."

how the heck did he hear peter from that far away? lol laugh.gif

A lack of attention to physics and perception of reality common to movies and TV shows.

That, and dramatic effect.

This question has been posed before and there's a simple answer.

"Nathan was landing just as Claire was making the statement. It isn't displayed that way but for the purpose of story telling, we are shown the two events as one following the other. This is done all the time on television programs and movies. They could use a split screen showing the action simulataneously but, for the most part, it scatters the desired focus of the moment."
