Exclusive Comic-Con Inspired Limited Edition Merchandise from NBC'S Hit Series "Heroes," "The Office" and SCI FI's Series "Battlestar Galactica" Available at Comic-Con and NBC.com


BURBANK, Calif. - June 30, 2008 - NBC Universal will be decked out in full force at Comic-Con 2008 with individual panels for the starring casts of "Heroes," "Battlestar Galactica," "Knight Rider," "Chuck," "Kings," "Stargate Atlantis," "Ghost Hunters," "Eureka," the writers from the hit series, "The Office" with series star Rainn Wilson as moderator. Executive producer Jason Smilovic ("Kidnapped") from the new NBC drama "My Own Worst Enemy" and executive producer Ron Moore for Universal Media Studios' FOX pilot "Virtuality" will participate on the TV Guide "Hot List" panel, while "Chuck" executive producer Josh Schwartz ("Gossip Girl") will be a panelist on Entertainment Weekly's TV Showrunners Visionary panel.

The NBC Universal booth will greet fans with a "Heroes," "The Office" and "30 Rock" theme. The booth will allow attendees to purchase merchandise from their favorite shows and will host the re-launch of voting for the "Heroes Sprint Create Your Hero" promotion.

At SCI FI's booth -- which was the recipient of the Exhibitor Magazine Design Gold Award and was featured in Interior Design Magazine -- giveaways will include tens of thousands of coveted premiums from popular shows such as "Battlestar Galactica" and "Ghost Hunters." Additionally, a "Eureka"-branded ice cream truck will run a dedicated route distributing free ice cream to promote the third season return of the popular dramedy on July 27. The ultimate party destination will be jointly hosted by SCI FI and Entertainment Weekly and will highlighted by a glamorous, star-studded Saturday night celebration.

In addition, the newly remodeled KITT Attack Car from "Knight Rider" makes its debut at the unveiling adjacent to the convention center. Fans will have an opportunity to interact with the car while series stars Justin Bruening, Deanna Russo and executive producer Gary Scott Thompson ("The Fast and The Furious," NBC's "Las Vegas") also make appearances.

"Comic-con has grown exponentially into its own cultural center where the influence-makers of science-fiction and fantasy entertainment determine the next hits. NBC.com will provide extensive Comic-Con coverage, with exclusive video of panels, fans and daily events, plus talent interviews and surprise guests. In addition to showing exciting new episodes from The Office and Heroes webisodes, NBC.com will also feature a sneak-peek at a new groundbreaking original web series, Gemini Division, starring Rosario Dawson coming this August. SCI FI.com will provide video coverage, exclusive interviews and a SCI FI prize package sweepstakes.

NBC Universal will offer an array of products from hit series including "The Office," "Heroes," "Battlestar Galactica" and others at the NBC Store at Comic-Con (booth # 3919). Pre-orders have already begun at NBC's Comic-Con Website, located on www.nbcstore.com. This year's exclusive products at Comic-Con include a limited edition "Dwight Schrute" bobblehead, which proudly displays a T-shirt with the slogan "Bears. Beets. Battlestar Galactica," a limited edition "Hiro" double-sided bobblehead, featuring a "current" "Hiro" and a "future" "Hiro," a limited edition "Sylar" action figure from Mezco Toyz, which includes a painting, easel, paintbrush and artist's board, a chrome, pop-up style "Battlestar Galactica" toaster which creates the image of a Cylon on the toast as it cooks, and finally, a stunning seven foot tall Cylon Centurion replica from Fred Barton Productions. In addition, NBC Universal will offer several exclusive t-shirts at Comic-Con from series including "Heroes," "The Office," "30 Rock," "Battlestar Galactica" and "Eureka" and a limited edition, glow-in-the-dark watch from "Heroes."

NBC Universal Television, DVD, Music & Consumer Products Group Once Again Partners with Mezco Toyz to Introduce Next Set of Collectible Figures Based On Hit NBC Series

Most Recent Set Will Include Characters "Claire Bennet," "Maya Herrera," "Gabriel Gray," "Ando Masahashi" And "Adam Monroe" - Will Be On Display at Mezco Toyz (Booth #4145) at Comic-Con


Burbank, CA - July 24, 2008 - NBC Universal Television, DVD, Music, and Consumer Products Group has again teamed with Mezco Toyz to introduce the fourth set of collectible figures based on the Emmy and Golden Globe nominated series "Heroes." Debuting at the annual Comic-Con International in San Diego, the fourth set will include five additional characters and will be available in specialty stores, major retail outlets and online retailers including NBCstore.com in early 2009.

The fourth set includes characters "Claire Bennet" (Hayden Panettiere), the heroine cheerleader with incredible recuperative powers, "Maya Herrera" (Dania Ramirez), a young woman who is plagued with a threatening ability, the villainous "Sylar," as "Gabriel Gray," (Zachary Quinto), "Ando Masahashi" (James Kyson Lee), the quiet Tokyo executive who embarks on wild adventures with his best friend "Hiro" and "Adam Monroe" (David Anders) who, like "Claire," has the ability to heal. Designed by Mezco Toyz’ award-winning artists, the seven-inch scale figures feature highly detailed features and extremely accurate accessories.

"Claire" (as "California Claire") wears her outfit from the premiere of season II and comes with a teddy bear, messenger bag and cell phone. "Maya" sports an outfit worn "on-the-run" in Mexico and comes with a "Wanted" poster, backpack and alternate head that is crying blackened tears. "Ando" wears street attire and comes with the Kensei sword and the scrolls found in the hilt of the sword, "Adam" wears the outfit from the finale of season II and comes equipped with the Kensei sword and sheath. In his left hand he holds the Shanti virus. "Gabriel" comes equipped with the snow globe he bought his mother as a gift, a wall clock that he fixes at his mother’s house, a magnifying glass and the scissors he accidentally stabs his mother with.

The second set of "Heroes" action figures, which is available in stores and online in September 2008, includes "Noah Bennet" or "H.R.G." (Jack Coleman), a man of mystery who has a special interest in people with healing abilities like his daughter "Claire," "Matt Parkman" (Greg Grunberg), a police detective with the ability to hear the thoughts of others, "Mr. Linderman" (Malcolm McDowell), a reputed mobster with healing ability, "Niki/Jessica Sanders" (Ali Larter), a single mother with astonishing strength, and "Claude" (Christopher Eccleston), the invisible man and Noah Bennet's former partner. The third set includes "Elle Bishop" (Kristen Bell), a mysterious young woman with awesome powers, "The Haitian" (Jimmy Jean-Louis) "Kensei Hiro" (Masi Oka) "Nathan Petrelli" (Adrian Pasdar), a congressional hopeful with the ability to fly and "Peter Petrelli" (Milo Ventimiglia), a young man with the ability to absorb the powers of others. This set will be available in stores and online in November 2008.

From creator/writer Tim Kring (NBC’s "Crossing Jordan") comes the award-winning "Heroes," an epic drama that chronicles the lives of ordinary people who discover they possess extraordinary abilities. In its first two seasons, "Heroes" was honored with a People’s Choice Award, an AFI Award, a Multicultural Prism Award, a TV Land Future Classic Award, the TV Critics Association Awards’ Outstanding Program of the Year, and the International prize at this year’s BAFTA Television Awards, as well as nominations at the Primetime Emmy Awards, Golden Globe Awards, NAACP Image Awards, WGA Awards and Satellite Awards.
