So there I was this morning, browsing through Canoe, when I happened across an article about Superman, or more specifically, an article titled "Superman's Ohio home seeking funds".

What does this have to do with Heroes you ask? Well let me tell you.
Auction organizers hope the sale will raise at least $50,000 to fix the roof, replace rotting wood siding and repaint the house, with anything left over going toward upkeep and future repairs.

Among the items to be auctioned during September will be a T-shirt signed by Siegel, a walk-on role on television's "Heroes," and original art by Jim Lee, Murphy Anderson, George Perez, Tim Sale and others. Lee's drawing offer drew a $710 bid on Tuesday.

A raffle sometime maybe? Pretty please? Those of us below the poverty line want to have fun sometimes too. Is that so wrong? sad.gif
JentheFangirl
Hmmm. I wonder what it would cost for just a set visit to the show.
AnimeGoddess
I swear I would hock so much stuff if they offered that! *cry*

It feels good that I don't have money. Because I would absolutely crap my pants in front of the camera.

I checked on the auction for the Heroes walk on part today, and the winning bid was $14,100.00 ohmy.gif

For $14,100... there is no way that I would ever be able to afford that walk-on role. Congrats to whoever happened to win, but I'm jealous!! I did happen to check out a few of the other items that this person bid on/won by checking their feedback.. and they're obviously a collector who bids on high-priced items fairly frequently.

I'm still jealous! laugh.gif

I also agree with whoever suggested a raffle so that those of us who have nothing in their bank accounts have an opportunity to (maybe) win.

What I wouldn't do for a walk-on role... (The list is very short! laugh.gif )

I'd checked earlier and they were already over 10 thousand by the time I found the page. Well above what I can afford. Congrats to whoever won.

Wow. That's great. Whoever got the item is lucky.

Louise
