I really love Kristen Bell. I was dressed like a freak--and am one--and she wasn't afraid to shake my hand.

So I thought I'd help boost the price of bids on our Lightening Lass by making sure all who love her here have at least an opportunity to look at what is being bid for Lunch with the one and only ELLE!

Elle daughter to Bob the Bald with the Midas touch and possible barer of Sylar's foul seed.

Lunch with Elle

The Charity she's sponsoring is called Farm Sanctuary which seeks to end cruelty to Farm Animals.

Talk about an uphill battle. But don't mind me I'm cynical and bitter.

Somewhere I think I can hear our veggan friends (Milo) saying that not eating meat would be a good start.

Now you got me curious: Where did you meet Kristen?

Sounds like a great opportunity for an even better cause. Meeting Kristen, lunch, and a Heroes gift pack. Sweet!

I thought you did too? At the WGA Heroes picket Line. You were there, were'nt you? I thought I saw you.

LowerTheBar
I wish I had the money for this. Lunch w/ Elle would be awesome.

I did! I was there! For some reason, from your post I got the impression that it was a recent meeting. Cool, though. I was really, really, really impressed by her at the picket.

Have you noticed no guys have shown up yet at this thread?

Not even to say they would love to go but can't afford it?

Guys. You could at least say that. Show the love for the woman at least.

I just checked there are only 2 bids, right now. It stands at $650.00. If only it wasn't a one-on-one luncheon, we probably could get that higher much higher.

I know, I know, guys don't like to look they can't afford it something.

But let me tell you, women would find a way.

If this were lunch with Zach or Adrian or Jack or Sendhil, you know we would find the money.

We would go without Starbucks, or Yuban for months. We would take part of our college fund to do it. We would go without maxi pads...ewwww.

But you get the point, we'd sacrifice to meet the stars we love.

What is it with male fen? Guys can't be bothered?

(And if you think I'm just saying this to light a fire under some male rears...well, you'd be correct wink.gif)

Well, I don't live in America so =/

There are nine days left on this. People are going to wait until the last minute to make a bid.

So the way the OP was worded, it leads me to believe that Kristen Bell would be in character as Elle. My common sense would lead me to believe she would be out of character.

Very likely. And I hope it skyrockets.

No. I don't think you'd really want lunch with Elle. There's no guarantee you'd leave alive--with or without electrocution.

That reminds me, I have to update my fictional character I'd most like to be killed by list.

Hey all; now it can be told; I tried my damndest to outbid everyone, but once it was above $1,000, somebody else then jumped in. With 10 minutes left I bid $1300, which was $200 more than I was going to spend, and then with less than a minute to go (since this auction mandates bid increments of $250), the other eh-hole bid $1550. So if I wanted to get the lunch, I would have had to bid $1800, and I just didn't have that kind of disposable income, not after buying a full 1080P HDTV just a few days before I found out about the auction. I had to bow out at that point and it went for $50 over the estimated value.

Also, they don't close the bidding like Ebay does at the proper time. If there's even one bid in the last 10 minutes, the auction is extended 10 minutes. Thisfrakkin'close, I was.

Damn you, "jbidder". Damn you straight to hell.

We'll find this "jbidder" and make him pay..more. Obviously, a 9th member should have won this auction.

I'm sorry you didn't get it Paul2008. But you helped a charity out. I'm kind of surprised it went relatively cheaply. What did you say $1,800 - $1,900?

I tried to check out what the winning bid was but they don't show it.

I've heard--depending on the Celebrity--these auctions going for as much as $30,000.00 and more. And then sometimes you're not even guaranteed it will be just you and the star. It could be a group thing.

For the price of a new car. you'd think you might get a champagne sleep over with the whole cast.

But at least you go to keep your cash. Think about that woman from Singapore who paid $19,000.00 for a "Sex and the City" Travel package which was supposed to include seats at the Premiere and turned out to be a fraud.
Sex and City Fraud

So you didn't get to have lunch with Kristin--this time. Better luck next time.
