Sylar's, "Like a Bad Taco" comment has me puzzled. It got a laugh at Comic-con--I laughed too--but then I thought to what is he exactly referring?

Some will say its the whole experience about being without his powers and having to go through all he did just to get them back.

Many will say he was just referring to Maya.

If he's referring to Maya isn't Tim Kring playing to the anti-Maya feeling he himself created?

I don't remember the lines exactly but after Bennet unloaded his gun into Sylar's chest and he healed following it up with "Got that from your Claire."

Best line first episode - Claire thats disgusting.. laugh.gif

Yup - that was my favourite line too. The one part of the two episodes that I didn't like all that much was Mohinder's new take on giving normal people powers and get super excited about it - it almost felt that he was trying too hard to act that out. Anyways, it wasn't bad or anything - just minor.

I liked the scene shot from the inside of the car where Sylar's strolling down the street after Claire and is accosted by the two company people, which he fends off with TK.

Hmm best lines:

"Claire, that's disgusting."

"Step on a butterfly today, years down the road a million people die."

"Let's just hope it's no one I know."

"Thank you, Turtle."

The Sprint plug was appalling/hilarious.

I SHOULD HAVE WENT WITH SPRINT, LMAO!

That line really cracked me up laugh.gif

Nathan on seeing Niki/Tracy "speaking of sin ..."

All the lines mentioned previously are awesome, but my favorite probably had to be the Sylar's "disgusting" line. My fav scene was probably the one towards the end with Peter (in Jesse's body) with the Level 5 villians. It was probably the scene with the most emotion behind it.

I second the Sprint plug being hilarious and appalling, probably gets my vote for worst line.

Worst scene: unlike "Five Years Gone", I don't think they nailed the tone of the Dark Future this time.

Overall, not bad at all, though.

lol i though the not so subtle sprint marketing was kinda funny in comparison to the nissan ads that plagued seasons one and two.."we cannot complete our quest without the nissan versa!"

but my favorite line was when tracy asked nathan if he knew her and he replied "biblically comes to mind"...i cracked up...
elevator
"You know Britney Spears."- That guy.

"But I am, dear. I am."- Angela.

"She can't see me, Nathan. No one can, except you. Did I not mention that?"- Linderman

And the Sylar one and the Matt one mentioned above.

Also, Nathans whole bit about God in the church was pretty intense.
Agent42
There were so many cringe-worthy lines, and most have already been mentioned. But when Nathan goes off in the church... *cringe* And all of Moho's poetic voiceovers...turn down the sound on the remote! *cringe*
Leek
Yeah...some great ones in these episodes.

"Thank you, turtle"

and "Claire, that's disgusting" are my favorite, right along with "Speaking of sin"

I also loved Angela constantly telling FPeter over and over again to go back where he came from.

Though yeah, when Nathan was speaking in the church I kept saying "He has gone insane. He has lost his mind completely."

Plus Sylar's taco line...ugh, that was just too bizarre. Sometimes he says the strangest things rolleyes.gif
Renrut
I liked Kaito in the second recording saying "I told you to not open the safe". It's more of a favorite moment than a favorite line though. But it does make me wonder why Kaito told him not to open the safe if he knew that was the first thing he would do.
ordinaryhero
Most of mine have already been said.

"Claire, that's disgusting."

"Thank you Turtle!"
"Why are you talking to a turtle?"
lol I thought it would have been hilarious if his power allowed him to talk to animals..

Something to the effect of:
"You come from America?"
"Yeah"
"Do you know Brittany Spears?"
"No."
"Brittany Spears is from America"

"I told you not to open the safe."

Anything Angela Petrelli said. I love to hate that lady. She's such a great villain.

"can't you see I'm in the middle of a heated game of chess."
"against yourself?"
"She can't see me, Nathan. No one can, except you. Did I not mention that?"

"You didn't look behind the Mona Lisa?" laugh.gif

When Sylar was talking to Claire before and after he sliced her head open.

While those are all great lines (esp "Thank you, turtle.")

But one that people have forgotten: "I saw God today"

I got chills when he delivered it. Nathan was Mr. Monologue last night.
nychulo3
I can't remember the line verbatim, but it was Future Peter and Angela talking, and FP said something like "I'm sorry, I'm a little busy saving the world right now." lol

I think the long voiceover in the middle was Yeats "Second Coming"

Turning and turning in the widening gyre
The falcon cannot hear the falconer;
Things fall apart; the center cannot hold;
Mere anarchy is loosed upon the world,
The blood-dimmed tide is loosed, and everywhere
The ceremony of innocence is drowned;
The best lack all conviction, while the worst
Are full of passionate intensity.

Surely some revelation is at hand;
Surely the Second Coming is at hand.
The Second Coming! Hardly are those words out
When a vast image out of Spiritus Mundi
Troubles my sight: somewhere in sands of the desert
A shape with lion body and the head of a man,
A gaze blank and pitiless as the sun,
Is moving its slow thighs, while all about it
Reel shadows of the indignant desert birds.
The darkness drops again; but now I know
That twenty centuries of stony sleep
Were vexed to nightmare by a rocking cradle,
And what rough beast, its hour come round at last,
Slouches towards Bethlehem to be born?

Ooh, thanks for that WickedM. Me and my friends were trying to figure out what that was. At first I thought it was from the book of Revelation but my friend said it was a poem referencing it. I really liked that they used the poem. Apparently that's where the title of the episode comes from as well.

Too bad sprint barely works driving down a major US highway in one of the largest cities in the nation. mad.gif Why couldn't my wife and her family have been on Verizon?? That was the best service I ever had.

Best: "...and 250 million dollars in cash." "A temporary setback."

Worst: Using Milo Ventimiglia (Peter) to represent Jesse's body (and using the right actor only in the mirror).
Auburn Red
I'll bet you don't remember me.
But anyway, some of my favorites

The Nathan/Niki, uh, sorry Tracy scene. You can take the Congressman to church but you can't make him stay there. biggrin.gif Especially that and I'm paraphrasing bit "We knew each other in Las Vegas real well in fact as I recall." Plus the look TRACY gives him like she was going to say something like "wasn't that memorable to me." or "I had better memories."

Also the Hiro/Kaito safe thing. "I told you not to open the safe!" I might put this on a speculation thing, I don't think Kaito meant anything except that he knew if he told Hiro not to open, Hiro would do the exact opposite and open it anyway.
Was it just me or when they mentioned Davied Anders name did it say "Specialest Guest Star?" If so, I thought that was great too. Poor grammar, but funny! biggrin.gif Adam can't just be a "Special Guest Star" Oh no, has to be
"Specialest guest star," the attention hound. biggrin.gif

My least favorite scene anything with Elle! Still not loving her. biggrin.gif Daphne may rub me the wrong way too, but I'll give her a chance.

nds
Yup. I quite enjoyed Nathan's quasi-religious monologue in the chapel as well. The message of "we're all connected", that what one person do can affect the whole world, "save each other, save the world" - pretty much the message of the show itself.

I'm curious as to how you are referencing cringe? As in, Cringe, it was terrible, or Cringe, it was good like a great scary scene in a movie makes you cringe.
Clover
"No service here. Shoulda' gone with Sprint." Haha, I know some people didn't like it, but I thought it was HILARIOUS! laugh.gif
flyboynathan
Funniest/worst line: The Sprint plug, something along the lines of, "No service out here. I should have gone with Sprint!"

Most intense: Tie between Nathan's church scene and the villains at the gas station, especially the villainy portrayed by Flint (the pyro). Angela's dream sequence I applaud as well.

Funniest scene: Hiro bored in the office, messing with time, hands down. The sound effects were what made it work.

Most disappointing scene: The beginning w/ Future Peter and Claire. I felt that it didn't match the intensity of "Five Years Gone," and frankly, the acting on that scene seemed sub-par.

Best line: "Just having a little fun..." - The German
Citizen
"I told you not to open the safe" is the first Heroes line that has made me literally lol.

Best scenes (there are just too many):
-Premiere opening
-Hiro traveling to the future
-Sylar scalping Claire
-Mohinder beating up the thugs and later crawling up walls
-Daphne's intro
-Elle vs. Sylar
-Villains at gas station

Really? I did not see that!

Heh. I wish there was more David last night. Besides just the dream sequence... though he did look Bad***
Rabbit
The worst was easily this:

"There's no service here. You should have used Sprint".

I really, really hope that does not become a common occurrence this season.
Caffeinedd
I love Sylar's little speech right before he leaves, especially the part:

"I couldn't kill you even if I wanted to. You can never die. And now I guess neither can I."

He just seems more thoughtful and real there. I'd imagine it has something to do with the fact he can't die, and now basically has all the time in the world.

Also, he always seemed to enjoy killing. He didn't even want to kill Claire. Either he doesn't care if the person he's taking the brain from dies or he really didn't want to kill Claira. I found this WEIRD!
crazy4purple23
My favorite scene was just the whole Sylar/Claire interaction, from him sneaking up on her in the house, and she stabbing him with the knife and "Claire, that's disgusting!". His *evil* villain monologue was great too.

Least favorite scene was probably when the escaped villains were just ravaging that gas station. They're like nothing but bullies with super powers, which kind of irked me.
The Cheerleader
Ok, my best and worst lines, I know a lot of you have mentioned them also.

WORST:
"Like a Bad Taco" - Sylar

BEST:

Sounds like fraudulent advertizing to me.

If there weren't any cell sites around even Sprint wont work.
