I just watched the two new episodes of Heroes and thought I liked them better than I expected I'm beginning to wonder what the writers were thinking when they invented the characters. Either they are really flat or they are really weak on the inside - all of them!
The worst thing is that Peter (the present Pete, not the future one), the only one who is actually REALLY powerful, does nothing about the spreading evil! He's travelling with the "villains", watching them destroy and murder though I'm absolutely sure he could wipe them out with a flick of his hand! He has a whole arsenal of powers that equal Sylar's (well, now that Sylar equals him they are only worth half as much... ) including those of the "bad guys" he just witnessed in action. He has the ability to stop this madness form going any further there and now and still he choses for some obscure reason I'm trying to determine here to go on a tour with the villains. And don't tell me it's self-preservation! Peter's not the self-preserving typ! He'd gladly sacrifice himself and there's not point in this "wait-and-see"-technique he's putting to use there. He could easily take on all of them all by himself, leaving Sylar again as the only real threat.
Why is he letting them get away? Why does he stay with them instead of going to help his brother?

uhm. he's trapped in someones body, he's probably a BIT confused. oh and he's with 4 (or is there 5?!) people who could brutally kill people in public just for the fun of it. he probably realises that they could kill him too in like two seconds if they wnated to. even if he has absorbed their abilities he doesnt know what they are nor does he know how to use them as well af they do. i'd be damn scared in that company and wouldn't even try to do anything.

plus we just saw that having just one ability might protect you from a guy with tons of 'em. elle fought off sylar and she has only the lightning thing.

so yaaaah i actually think that for once peter is being smart.

I don't know that he HAS his power in that body, Jesse never showed any. And I hope we all remember how intelligently Peter was the LAST time he hung around a villian, much less 3 of them...(Shanti virus, anyone...?)

I really wonder what Jesse can do though... we were told that he could destroy everybody, but not how...

The assignment tracker HRG showed Claire listed his power as "Sound Manipulation"... Which I thought was Echo's gift. Very confusing...

Oh my god! My sincere apologies! I toally fogot about the "different body" thing! Of course you are right! he couldn't do much right now even if he wanted to since his powers are somehow linked to his DNA (which - of course - is now different)
as I said, I JUSt finished the episode and I probably should have given this a little more thought before I opened a thread on it. I hope you guys can forgive me.

oh yaah true that he might not have his powers! but i wonder where his actualy body is if peter mind is the only thing inside jesse.

i also am wondering what powers he currently has. I suppose we will see. However, imho I would have left when he was asked if he was in or out. Hell Im out laterz...but I guess Peter thinks a bit differently. maybe FPeter told him something who knows.

I think Peter wants to stop them (which is why I think he got in the car) but either he doesn't have all of his power or he's not sure and he doesn't want to take that chance just yet. So I think he looking for an opportunity to seriously screw them over without getting himself killed (at least not without a reason, there really wasn't anything he could do for those poor people).

He's in someone else's body. He only has Jesse's ability (which did say Sound Manipulation on the file). He'll do what he can at the right time. Case closed.

He had sound manipulation powers, I assume similar to Echoe's

Do we know any more about Echo besides that he can shout really loud? If it's just that, then that would be sound amplification. "Sound manipulation" suggests to me that Jesse can absorb sound, making others around him go temporarily deaf, or that he can throw his voice, or mimic another voice perfectly, etc. It could be a broader range of things than what we saw Echo do.

Sooner or later someone was gonna get confused by Milo still playing Peter near the end.

Peter doesn't even know what Jesse's ability is but I'm pretty sure he'll find out soon enough.

FPeter is looking for him. He should show up, soon. If FPeter can make PPeter appear (I have no idea where his body is, or how the power works), they'd be extremely formidable.

I didn't understand why Peter went with the villains. He could have taken off on his own and perhaps sought out someone who could help him (HRG? Nathan? Mohinder?).

Maybe what he said..

He thought he could stop them from hurting innocent people.
