I was very, very happy to see our comic friend cross over into the real world!

A little background on the character (Borrowed from HeroesWiki, but can also be found on his Assignment Tracker Profile (C014 - TGmgx14r) )

QUOTE
[Paragraph Omitted: Classified]

The Company first learned about the subject after major law enforcement organizations across Europe and the United States linked a rash of unusual bank robberies to a single individual. The suspect—known only as "The German" due to witness accounts of his accent—apparently used extreme force to penetrate physical security measures, tearing bank vault doors in half and blasting holes through reinforced steel walls. Yet law enforcement agencies were unable to find any chemical or physical evidence of explosives or tools.

Despite a pre-operational consensus that the subject was a posthuman capable of manipulating metal, the extent of the subject's abilities was not realized until the acquisition itself. [Sentence Omitted: Classified] At one point, the subject was able to redirect bullets in mid-air, killing Agent Patterson with his own weapon. [Sentence Omitted: Classified]

[Paragraph Omitted: Classified]

QUOTE
As a result of the subject's initial counter-strategy upon regaining consciousness after retrieval—see CSIR-0704 for facilities impact report—the subject has been maintained under Class IV sedation while additional measures are implemented to facilitate further communication. [Sentence Omitted: Classified]

Pre-operational analysis indicated that the subject inflicted bodily and extraneous property damage only when necessary to achieve primary objectives—generally large-scale theft—but new intelligence gained during the subject retrieval suggests significant potential for improvement in the initial psychological profile. Additional psychoanalysis is expected to reveal highly sociopathic instincts, apparently projected in close psychological association with the subject's posthuman ability.

So this seems to be the start of a really interesting, terrifying character. Heres hoping he doesn't getkilled off too soon.
maxii
The German is going to be my favorite Villian I think..I can't wait for him to get more screentime.

I just hope he doesn't die either...
prander
I'm definitely looking forward to it, probably just as much.
Citizen
I was very glad to see him as well, along with Gael and Bianca at the beginning of the episode.

He was awesome near the end in the gas station scene.

"What are you doing?"

"Just having a little fun, that's all."
Leek
Yeah, the accent and the glasses just make him so bloody creepy. I love it.
Citizen
I know eh. The accent was awesome.

Also, who votes for more GN crossovers? *raises hand*
Bubpheenam15
Round glasses alway make a creepy guy creepier..
Hopper
*raises hand*

I like the German. I'm really disappointed that they killed Gael and Bianca. I really liked those two. The GN for today had me tearing up.
Leek
Me too Hopper!

I'm just hoping we don't end up seeing magneto with an accent...

Which based on his whole having fun terrorizing people bit we won't, but still, it's thin ice playing with such an iconic power.

Magneto was Polish, wasn't he?

I do! I do!

Also, I'm hoping the villains get a bit more screen-time than Hana. And that their backstories are furthered in the GNs. I can't wait til the German starts doing cooler stuff with his powers than opening car doors! And yes, the accent is quite creepy.

You got me there...

General exposure to Magneto was through a british actor though :-P

I'm just covering for getting owned in x-men knowledge...

Yeah there are still similarties between them anyway. Though, He probably hated German's since he was in the holocaust and all.
MikeMc
Speaking of crossovers, where's Echo from the webisodes? Wasn't he on Level 5? Or was he on Level 3? I don't remember...
flyboynathan
HRG and other people said that a dozen escaped, but we've only seen four in action (including Jesse/Present Peter). So, there are a LOT more villains to see, one of which may be Echo.

And according to Heroes Wiki, Echo IS in Level 5.

I do!!

I expected a lot more from last night... Kinda dissapointed. You`d think the company would mention the whole Evs affair. It did throw them into mass chaos for a while...
SacValleyDweller
Ya know, the voice and the accent was not how I imagined in the GN.

The guy doesn't look very intimidating at all. On physical appearance alone, he looks harmless.

Of course, we know what he did to Gael, Devin and those bank workers. I think the actor's got a lot of work to do to make me afraid of our German friend, considering how good Quinto is at playing Sylar.

Hope the German stays around for a while along with knox. Also cant wait to see the other 8 villians who got out of level 5. The only villians I can think of that may of escaped along with knox,The German,Jessie, and Flint, are Echo, the plant guy, The light guy, and Maury. I guess you can also count hrg as one of the dozen.
RedWolf
The plant guy became stiff and green permanently. Thanks to DL's mom's power.

DL's mom was also killed by the Kill Squad.
heroesfan456
Thats right I forgot about that. I just pictured him in the holding cell and didn't even think about the last part of the graphic novel.
Raekon
So HRG was on level 5 already. ohmy.gif

Anyway, I also loved the German and I hope he stays for a long time.
It's refreshing to have villains that are not just open heads for abilities but additionaly doing things that are "fun" to them being real villains. happy.gif
I hope that none of them dies too early or get wasted in a episode or two only.

Probably echo, marcus, howard and maury were on a other part of the level we didn't saw additional to samedi and the other guy(was the name andrew?) we didn't saw either.

As about the GNs "raising hand" as well even the most of them got unfortunately wasted already. :/
Synch
Maury's in the medical wing right now. He's locked in a nightmare.

Or is he? He could be messing with Nathan right now that Matt is away in Africa.
flyboynathan
I think that the innocent appearance of the German (so some people think) would only add to the scariness of him, someone of his appearance harnessing such a deadly power.
LOSTie
LOL

Ebil super-powered German = EPIC WIN!!

Can't wait to see more from him. :]

Once locked in the nightmare it requires either an extreme act of will, or assistance from someone with the same ability.

Maury has neither.

I really really like the German as a character from the Graphic Novels

I think he has the potential to be the coolest villain. He already was my favorite out of the initial 4. A showdown with Sylar would be pretty cool. I think him Flint should fight Sylar since Sylar is a bit godmoded now. And he needs to use the bullet trick again in the next episode.

I think its safe to say if he did that, then the villain message would get across nicely.

And I personally think that about 50 percent of the graphic novels are interesting and the other half are lame. The whole Donna/Evs/Clone Wars thing bored me, but I got a kick out of Berlin.

And did anyone else think the latest novel's drawing of Sylar looked nothing like him?
spiderfrommars
I'm still arguing between the german and flint for who i think could be the best of the escaped villains.

But ANYWAYS I'm hoping to see a nice bit of weapon improvisation myself... you know, like turning paper clips into bullets.

And on the sylar note, I agree... but look at the joker over the years of batman comics. His looks changed A LOT.
Brady5573
I meant that the drawing of him didn't look like Zachary Quinto haha

Flint is pretty awesome too. Setting that lady on fire was pretty villainous
spiderfrommars
Well yeah, definitely didn't look like Zachary Quinto tongue.gif

The biggest thing that I like about flint is that he doesn't have that stereotypical "ironically cool guy" look to him that pyrokinetics tend to have.

Definitely know what your talking about. In the previews before the season premiered I thought he looked like John Locke from Lost haha.

The German on the other hand actually looks a bit like Jack Coleman to me. And also Alton Brown from the cooking channel haha.

haha there were a couple moments where flint actually looked like charlie from californication to me. Locke is a bit more of a sensical comparison (with show subject matter anyways)

The German definitely falls into a stereotypical character mold, but it seems as though the actor REALLY pulls it off from the bit we've seen.

Though sweat suit bank robbing doesn't fit that mold as well...

I actually talked briefly with the actor of his character on myspace. Apparently his character has some stunt work coming up, so that should be neat.

I havn't seen Californication before, although I tend to avoid shows about California seeing as I live here and it's never like any of them.

stunt work for flint or stunt work for the german?

and that is definitely a valid reason to stay away from california shows. Hailing from new england, I get to view in blissful ignorance tongue.gif
Brady5573
I talked with Ken Lally, who plays the German. However I would assume that Flint will get some action as well

Sweet. I kind of assumed that pyrokenisis is a stunt bearing power. Stunts with magnetism should be really cool though.
Alordo
Magnetism as the German's power was kind of rough for me considering Magneto and all. He was born in Germany and raised Jewish, thus his and his family's persecution during the Holocaust. His real name is Max Eisenhardt, later changed to Erik Lehnsherr to hide his identity.

And yes, I am a huge X-Men fan, but not so much the newer stuff as the events during the '90s and prior.
