Haven't posted here in a while, but man I am pumped about this season. I especially like the casting of Jamie Hector, the guy who once filled the shoes of Marlo Stanfield, the most cold blooded mother in all of Baltimore to play a guy who gets super strength of others' fears. Brilliant. I like that he seems to be the relatively sane one compared to flint and the german. I was also loving the Veronica Mars reunion with the addition of Francis Capra. I am hoping Elle goes out hunting solo so we can get a showdown. Really I just want Peter out of there so we can see what the writers have in mind for the James Murphy character. Finally Hiro's nemesis is interesting, I like how the writers keep giving us female characters who are flawed but in different ways.

I like the arcs of Peter/The Company hunting down the villains and Hiro trying to find the formula/eventually the "chosen one". The main cliffhanger as I see it is Mohinder's power... Is it a result of the imperfect serum gone wrong, meaning it could be fixed and then future users wouldn't get a side affect, or Is Mohinder's innate mutation just a weird one, and if so what is it?

I think Mohinder is turning into Mohinder the lizard.
The Alternative One
The newest characters are:
1. Daphne Millbrook - Speedster - Super fast speed (think the Flash on uppers!)
2. Benjamin Knox - Can absorbs fears and turn them into incredible strength
3. Flint - Pyrotechnics - Throws flames
4. The German - Can control magnetic energy
5. Jesse - Sound Manipulation - Important because he holds the soul of Peter Present.
6. African Tribesman - Future painter - Evidently Isaac Mendez wasn't the only one who could do this!
7. Tracy Strauss - Freeze Ray - Tracy touches a reporter and he turns to ice and then shatters into pieces. (This may be Niki/Jessica but for now I think she is new.)

And some old charcters with new abilities:
1. Ando - Electricity? - throws red bolts of electricity? (This may only be a flash forward power and not actual (but I had to list it!)
2. Mohinder - Superstrength w/ wall climbing thrown in for good measure
3. Angela Petrelli - Predictive Dreams (?) (a hunch on my part - still unproven)

As hot as she is, Ali Larter just keeps getting s***ty writing for her characters. I'm not all that interested in who Tracy Strauss is, unless it turns out that there was, like, an original girl who could clone herself, and all her clones could develop different powers and that eventually lead to Niki and Tracy.

I like the African Tribesman guy - Usutu. He's really funny. laugh.gif

Knox seems to be the most dangerous of the group of released Villains. I like how he's the most quiet of the bunch when they were all still locked down in Level 5.

Here's a thought. How about actually given the character more than 5-10 minutes before you decide they're worthless?
Hopper
tongue.gif I actually like Tracy. At first, I didn't like the idea, but when she pitched to Malden to hire Nathan she seemed vibrant, enthusiastic, and full of life. The horror on her face as she froze the reporter mirrored my own. She's a lot more fun to watch than Niki.

This is proven...Angela says to Peter "Who did you think you got your first power from?" And then she had the dream sequence, and made it a point to mention it to F_Peter. Precognitive Dreams are her power. No question.

The more I read about people not getting what Angela's power is, the more I think that Angela's power is, in fact, to disguise her power. laugh.gif

Well, she could be lying, which she has done in the past. Still, I agree that it seemed pretty apparent that she had the dream power.

So...she was lying when we saw her have the vision?

If any of the crew/writers is reading this, they must be having a blast. "Look, we told them, and they're still totally confused! Hi-five!" laugh.gif

Yeah, I guess I just wanted to point out that it was a little TOO over the top blatantly straight up of a statement. I think questions like that don't need to be answered, or at least not so conclusively. I can see the writers making the conscious choice to not leave questions unanswered to put some distance between this show and LOST, where the lack of answers kind of kept the story from moving forward, but I think to answer these kind of questions which are not essential to the plot with throw away lines kind of cheapens the whole speculation and fan interest in that question.

The thing is that this debate had gone beyond the point of ridiculousness. It was time to put the nail in the coffin. (And some people still refuse to accept it.)
