She tried to stop a dolphin cull in Japan. Now there's a warrant out for her. (Last I heard. It may have been cancelled, I don't know.)

It was cancelled; she mentioned it on Letterman a few weeks ago.

Personally I wish people would steer clear of this stuff. It's none of our business and is embarrassing to her. I'm not putting anything like that on House Petrelli.

Just because it involves someones family doesn't mean it isn't a crime. Crimes are crimes, and the fact it involves her parents doesn't mean it should be swept under the rug. Sure people care more about it because she is famous, but hopefully the added notoriety will help her father realize just how bad and hurtful he was. A bigger lesson for the attacker is never a bad thing. Domestic abuse should never be ignored. Her dad obviously didn't learn his lesson before, hopefully the added media coverage will drive home what an A hole he is.

I agree that domestic abuse should not be ignored, but to drag an entire family's trauma out into the open is just plain disrespectful. There are plenty of ways to make sure that this does not go unpunished, but think of how you would feel if every time you looked on the internet or tabloids, your name was in the headlines as being associated with something like this.
It's said among mental health professionals that a person relives a trauma every time they discuss it or see a reminder of it. Hayden shouldn't be put through that, especially not in such a public manner. This is a difficult time for Hayden and her family, and should be kept private. Period, end of story.
