Full Version: The Company's chain of command...

I assume everyone that reads this has seen the first two episode of season / volume 3.

Now that Bob is dead, Angela is heading up the Company. Who would take over if she died? Maury? Adam? I can't see that being permitted as they both appear to be outcasts. There's a few other faces on that photo of the 12 founders. Perhaps one of them? (that is, if any of them are still alive)

I guess they may need to introduce a new character. Anyone else feel like venturing a guess?

Matt found out that all the other founder are dead. All of them except Angela and Maury, who is currently incarcerated.

I guess another senior member of the Company (along the lines of Thompson or Ivan Spektor) would take out their place. I'm sure the Company has a lot of senior members.

I think really what Angela meant was they are all dead. I don't think Adam would take over the company unless by force since he's their enemy now and so is Maury.

It really says something of who Angela was in the Company if everyone has to be dead or incarcerated for her to take over. I think having been a wife starting in 1965 the men saw her in a certain way - not a leader. It would be great if she's the one to make the Company 'great' again - meaning steer the ship right.

The good news for Bennet is she won't be coming after Claire.

We don't know if they are all dead and I don't mean healing them with Claire's blood, someone might turn up...wink wink.

We really can't answer your question until later in the season.

i'm going to join the fray and say that the patriarch petrelli is alive and well, working behind the scenes and letting mama petrelli head the comapny... for now.

'cause he was SO in control during Vietnam according to the GN? He was a blowhard, clueless as to the nature of special abilities in others even within his own military unit and appeared helpless when attempting to adapt to the updated logistics of the situation that those abilities demanded. The Bomb plot was alive and well until Nathan agreed to the FBI case against Linderman. Shortly thereafter, an attempt on Nathan and Heidi's lives was made. The next thing we know, Arthur Petrelli is dead. Whether by his own hand, or that of Linderman's is irrelevent. The fact is, he was morally gray on the Bomb plot until NATHAN's life was threatened, and was then removed from the equation. He was not pro-active, not a true leader, nor a person possessing an ability capable of "upsetting the balance" the way Hiro, Peter and Sylar are.

I don't look for them to kill off Mrs. Petrelli anytime soon and I, for one, am quite happy with this much larger role for her character.

If/when (she has to, sometime!) Angela dies, I would imagine that there's a clear chain of command - her sucessor would be someone like Thompson.

I'd like to see Elle and Eric run the company. For some reason after him losing Donna ,and with Elle's recent tragedy I think they would make a good pair. Ooo and their names are cute together. smile.gif But that's simply wishful thinking on my part.

Indeed and I'm not hoping there will be a need but, so far, someone new has headed up the Company each season. It reminds me a little of "Angel" due to the many times the leadership position changed at Wolfram and Hart.

Currently, there isn't an obvious choice although I was surprised that Angela was next in line after Bob. Also, Mr. Bennet seemed to think that killing Bob would kill the Company as well. Clearly, Mr. Bennet was wrong. I don't think someone like Thompson would be given control since it's always been one of the founders (first Linderman, then Bob, and now Angela).

It's certainly going to be interesting with Angela holding the reins. Her ability could allow her to remain in control for some time, too. But I can't help but wonder who is next in line.

Without Bob the company would have money issues. The current situation is that Angela can use Sylar as a cash child.

That's a great point. The company couldn't go on without someone who could generate funds.

with how big it is now it probably got its hands on a few cash crop companies. Something like communications or security. I mean if you had a multi-tiered international company, i would assume that you could diversify your funds enough to get a constant profit. For all we know they are really microsoft/disney/AT&T combined lol. (technology/entertainment/communications run this world basically)

Woo...I'll go with that theory. It sounds educated!

Does anyone else think that maybe Hiro and the Petrelli boys are on the short list?

I should have thrown in that Sylar eats brains and Peter is really smart, for the "How wrong can you be?" trifecta epic win...
