Sylar as a company man... I can't get enough of it.
Do you think he'll eventually be able to resist taking powers?

Personally, I think Sylar should take certain people's powers. If they're dangerous and unwilling to change, Sylar could always use it for good against other villains.
Banter between he and HRG is great. His "silver tongued" deceptions are great. His saving the day was great. I think it's fantastic.

Sylar is so freaking awesome in so many ways. He freaking just SAVED mr badass himself's LIFE.
Not only that, but how awesome was it when he started ordering the cops around? Freaking brilliant.

I can't even begin to explain how AMAZING this episode was.
Sylar + Noah = EPIC.

I know...somehow Heroes reach a whole new level of amazing...NED amazing!
I think Sylar will fall eventually. He's our favorite bad guy, but maybe he can become the conflicted bad guy instead of the completely sinister evil he's been for so long.

LOVED it.

It was all A+, as you all mentioned.
B7ut I also loved HRG and the Haitian together again at th the end of the ep.. and HRG sayings he's looking for Sylar's weakness, and then he's gonna kill him.

Yeah, I think it's safe to say by the end of the season, he'll be back on the run riding the old dark side but I think he'll come out of it a much more interesting and sympathetic villian, I have a feeling he's well on his way to being betrayed by Mommy dearest before it's all said and done, sadly enough.
For now, I'm highly enjoying the opportunity to root for him and hopefully get to see a lil more of his human characteristics.

I don't think I will ever like Sylar after all he's done, but I like the way they are going with the story. I wonder how long this crazy alliance will last.
The weird thing is, future Peter seems more sinister than Sylar now.

Well he did say he just wanted to see how it all played out which sounds to me like hes just going to wait it out until he can take control of the entire situation. Its surely awesome seeing Sylar somewhat good but I wouldn't want him anything other than a villain when it came down to the end.

Well, Sylar and HRG were awesome together. Their scenes were my favorite as I mentioned in the "favorite scenes" thread

They just looked so sweet! OMGSH!
I wonder how Claire would react if she saw that her father was working together with Sylar. That would be an interesting scene considering it seemed to me that she wanted nothing more than to get revenge on Sylar when she was being tortured by Meredith.

I just wanted to say, it is nice to see everyone so happy about GoodSylar, especially since so many people were saying "ZOMFG, if Sylar is a petrelli, I'm gonna quit watching!" or "WTF are they thinking flipping his character like that?!"
I have been waiting all through season 2, through the hiatus, and finally I get to see Sylar in his prime again. I give this episode an A+. I'm saving my A++ in case we get more of SyHRG next episode, because if they team up again I will freaking pee myself.

SYLAR WAS AWESOME IN THIS EPISODE!
Course I don't think he can change.
I'm calling it now, I think he will change but something will completely disillusion him and he'll go back to the way he was. Perhaps finding out that someone isn't his real mother either

Heh that's actually kind of what I'm pulling for him to be doing - he wouldn't be the villain I know and love if he didn't.
However, as long as he keeps power stealing as a form of addiction so to speak, I could definitely get into him as an anti-hero too.

I think Sylar only took Jesse's ability out of necessity for survival. he was so surprised and shaken when he was almost toasted when Noah saved him, he wanted a power he could use with his hands tied.

I'm kind of leaning toward that theory too...Sylar actually walks the line and becomes a good boy...only for it to be revealed that he isn't Mama P's lil boy after all and the shock of this betrayal turns him bat wing crazy again. Mama P always has the perfect plan...it just always seems to backfire!

I bet Sylar will start following Harry's code (Dexter reference).
Imthehero
Sep 30 2008, 05:14 AM
Harrys Code FTW! Best way ever to control a serial killing power stealer. He just needs some boundries, some structure, lol.
I agree though, him in a suit with slicked back hair is epic-fail. Give him a hoodie and his spiked fauxhawk back, please!
I think Sylar might be frustrated enough with his addiction to try different options to help him break the habit. I think he would be upset at having such lack of control. It's one thing to hunger, but another to be addicted. Maybe he will be more willing to cooperate, especially with Angela's crazy faith in him. Creepyist thing ever though was her feeding him. psycho

its funny how awkward Sylar looked sneaking up on the baddies int he bank. its his trademark "im right behind you and you dont know it" thing, but in a suit its like, "Jehovah's witness away!"
but i think harry's code kind of thing would be awesome!

Sylar will never be the good guy completely. At least not while he needs to kill people in order to take their power. I believe he is Angelas son. He just took bridgets power. All he has to do is touch her and he would know or not. I think Angela will be saved by Nathan and Peter and her becoming good will be the betrayal that pushes Sylar to venture out on his killing spree again.

I hope you are right! I
so don't want a "turning good" storyline about Sylar. He shut this door himself, when he killed his Mum. This episode was very intense and a masterpiece of character related storytelling. I hope they don't destroy for a standard storyline that is told with every next best villain in comicbooks.
But I think - or prefer to think - the moment when he told Noah how he would like to see where Angela's game is taking them, was his one honest moment in that episode.
Angela IS pulling the right strings though. She's adressing his two weak points: him wanting to be special and his guilt about killing his Mum - who now might turn out not to be his real mother.
But remember the ticking sound during his talk to Angela? That's when I wondered: "Can you trick someone who intuitively understands, what's going on?"

Nonetheless, I hated his dialogue with Noah, when he was about to kill Jesse. Sylar being victim of some kind of hunger, an addiction even? Come on!

I totally agree. Plus: I'm waiting for Sylar finally being a main antagonist. He was a dangerous player in Season 1, but actually we had Linderman for the "Big Bad". He played a side role in Season 2. So his big moment is still to come.

When he started barking orders at the cops with that phony Jersey accent I choked on my drink I was laughing so hard. I would hope the encounter in the bank answered any questions people had about him facing other people with strong powers.. Must admit though, when Flint was about to blast him, that's the closest to fear I've ever seen him look.
