Who knows. A lot of crazy crap can happen in 4 years, especially when anyone with the money can get a power.

Make a club. I'm sure thousands would be willing to join.
I think Claire and the others think they're right about Peter. I mean, he did look pretty BA. Like, maybe he's sort of like FHiro from 1st Season. And someone FPeter loved went poof. (Wait... that happened already... *cough*Caitlin*cough*)
But there's a reason.

I'm a little bit confused with all the time traveling that's going on. But I'll figure it out when I re-watch the episode tomorrow.

I'm pretty sure some of that meant to be a mystery. For now, at least.
The same questions could be asked for the episode "Five Years Gone" back in Season 1. There's a lot of mystery to how things came into that future, that are pointless to answer since it was changed. I think that's exactly how the writers like it. :]

I have to admit...I enjoy being THIS confused!
Most story and plot lines are so easy to figure out these days...
NOW...how is ADAM going to help?
Must have something to do with the fact that he cant die...

This season is totally confusing. And frankly, not very good.
The only story I'm interested in is Nathan/Tracy. At least their acting is bearable. And their on-screen chemistry is undeniable.
Why is Claire so bad-****** And now there's the "Hunger"? And what on Earth (or from Earth) could Adam ever do that would change the course of the future? All he can do is...not die.
The show got away from the original charm of ordinary people discovering powers and launched into crazy prime-time soap opera. It's just ishy.

They have a place for you to post negative reviews of this week's episode. you don't have to try and explain it all here

And, as others have said, there are things that are meant to be mysterious for now...i mean, the season just started three weeks ago, so not everything's going to make sense right off the bat. Please don't take this as a negative comment, because that's not the purpose I'm writing.
I, for one, happen to think that this was one of the best episodes of the season thus far. Of course you, you are entitled to your opinion of it just as much as I am. Like I said, please don't take this as offensive...I was just trying to help a little.

Methinks Adam has insiders knowledge on the whole "iwannagettheformulaandruintheworld" clan.

I thought Claire made it clear the reason they wanted to off Peter was because they wanted to stop him from going back in time repeatedly and just messing everything up even worse.

You're not alone. I've watched the episode twice, and I don't know what to make of the scenes that were set in the future. What did Future Peter do to earn titles like "extremist" and "villain?" Why were Knox and Daphne working alongside Claire? Why did Future Peter want present Peter to take Sylar's ability? What was Sylar doing in the Bennet home with a son named Noah?
This felt like an episode of Lost. A million questions raised and none answered, and it doesn't suit Heroes at all.

Claire started turning bad because she couldn't feel anything, and I guess being "bad" made her at lesat feel something, so that's part of the reason why she wound up that way.
Also, like others have said, a lot of stuff happens in four years. People meet new friends (or enemies), make different connections, etc. I'm sure if the future keeps along those lines, it'll be explained how Knox, Claire, and Daphne all wind up together.

fHiro was also the same way and no one complained. I am not saying they will answer your questions, but we are only on episode 4 of 23, so let's see how it plays out.

This week's graphic novel helps to explain part of Claire's motivation for wanting to kill Peter in the future..
