I was kinda touched to have seen Sylar's son die. He must have gotten real close to Noah to have named his son after him. I wonder what happened to Noah??
lauryn
he was also living in their house.. goes right along with the last line of last weeks episode "Then I'm going to kill him" by Noah...
elevator
I came thisclose to crying when Noah died.
And he was in like three scenes!
I just felt so bad for Gabriel.

And I'm thinking that Noah (HRG) maybe thought Sylar to control "the hunger" or found a way to stop it or something and thats why he named his son after him.
Leek
Yeah, I assume the name is symbolic, I guess Noah helps him on a better path. Or perhaps Noah died protecting him or something...who knows.

And yeah, who the heck is the mother?!
Wanderlust
I cannot tell a lie.
I cried. For like ten seconds.
And then it was like ehh. We barely knew him.
Loved the waffles though.

My eyes freakin' watered! Even if we didn't get to know the character that well, he's still a little kid! crying.gif

I half expected kid Noah to use some uber power to escape Knox...and then I thought Sylar exploding was what caused the Earth to break in half...I was wrong. sad.gif

I, too, had a momentary teary moment when little Noah died. Probably because I felt terrible for Gabriel. Imagine, the panic and loss that he must have felt when he realized the child had been crushed by the table... and himself.

I wonder why Gabriel named the child after Claire's adopted father? Do he and Noah Bennet become that close while working together for The Company? What happens to Noah (the adult)?

I'm curious! I wanted them to continue that storyline, not switch to Hiro and Ando. Now I have to wait for NEXT week!

Looks like this partnership turned out like neither Noah or Sylar had expected. Turns out that Noah didn't kill Sylar after all. We can't be sure about the reverse though. We didn't see Noah in this future. Perhaps Noah was killed possibly by Sylar or some other villain, and Gabriel named his son after Noah in his memory. It's pretty unclear the history. Perhaps they did become friends. This was only 4 years in the future, and Gabriel's son seemed to be at least around 3. Things must have changed pretty quickly from where Sylar is now.
ChaosTheory
I just had this hilarious thought of Noah and Sylar skipping down the street eating ice cream and giggling.

Sylar: Why..why did you have to do it, Claire? Bring this into our house? I don't...I don't understand.

*Sylar pins Claire up against the wall*

Sylar: YOU HAVE TO MAKE ME UNDERSTAND!

*insert trademark index finger of doom*

I posted this in another thread, I think the idea, was that it should have been Claire being June Cleaver with son Noah named after her father, but because Peter changed things, and Claire wasn't were she was suppose to be that day, Sylar became Claire, Claire became Sylar!

But we never did figure out where she was driving in such a hurry with those files last week! Why would she need that box if she was going back to Odessa? Obviously she knows her way around there, she wouldn't need a road map unsure.gif .

Just all over the place, by the time they provide answers, we'll forget we had questions!

hm, you gave me a new idea. Maybe Noah (Bennett) was the reason Sylar changed his life. The work with him could have led him to the future mother of his son and he was so grateful for the help Noah gave him, that he decided to name his son after him.
Or he has killed Noah in the future and sees naming his son after him as a way to apologize and show his respect to his niece's adoptive father.

Hmm, well from today's GN, Resistance, we learn that Future Claire's parents were killed, so Noah is dead in this future. So, it's pretty assured Gabriel's son is named in Noah Bennet's memory. Though in the episode, Claire says that Sylar took everything from her, in response to Peter calling it Gabriel's house. Perhaps Gabriel was somehow involved in taking Noah from Claire before he turned good.

I really think Claire is the mother of Sylar's son. If you think about it, it makes sense.

- Noah was named after Claire's father
- Both Sylar and Claire will live forever, so having a family together makes sense.
- Remember when future Claire tried to kill future Peter and said something to Peter along the lines of "being special," similar to something Sylar once said.

No, actually it doesn't.

1: In this reality, Sylar had taken Claire's ability.
2: In this reality, Claire wanted nothing to do with Sylar. She had hated him from the moment of his taking her ability.
3: In this reality, and this is the clincher, they thought they were related.
4: If Claire had been the mother, they would have made that clear on the show. They didn't, so she wasn't.

As for Sylar and Noah being BFFs? Possible. There were several major alterations from what we saw in our reality to what went down it that future. Several things could have happened that we didn't see to bring them together as friends. It's also possible, I'd even say probable, that Noah sacrificed himself to save Gabriel.

claire is DEFINITELY not the mother because that would be incest, in this timeline. I'm pretty sure it was Elle, personally! It's possible Sylar and Noah became close, but I thought maybe Sylar killed Noah before deciding to turn his life around, and so named his son Noah in a sort of creepy remembrance.
