I say locust because there seems to be a sound affect used whenever Suresh is using his powers (or being aggressive) that sounds like a locust, or at least some sort of insect.

I am more interested to see his purpose on the show from this point on (i am quite shocked he hadn't killed himself).

For the pure irony of Mohinder's words and actions in episode 1 of season 1 about cockroaches, I'm going with some kind of cockroach-man.

I have to agree with dna4ever about the hissing cockroach thing. They make sounds similar to what we're hearing.
Although, I doubt they pull adult males into buildings... and possibly eat them...

No he said he had the formula wrong, the one Kiato and Angela had, that is the pure formula to give abiltiies to regualr people in a normal like way. Mohinder's formula is forcing things to go way to fast with side effects...

Yeah, but we've seen so many cockroaches, they were bound to pull something like this on us. Trust me, he'll come up with some long-word explanation about how our DNA is not that different from a bug's or something.

Mohinder seems to be turning into a freak in every way imaginable. Shooting HRG last season, to super strength, super bad temper, super sex drive and plain out freakish - he's like an extreme in every way. I liked it better when he was more of an intellectual doing intellectual things vs. hanging around in the shadows looking like a cross between Darth Maul and Voldemort, excreting puss...

Umm, perhaps he will help with the formula. He might be able with the fomula to cure himself, Maya, etc.

I'm going with "unspecified (for now, at least) creepy and crawly bug, insect and/or reptile type creature".

But it's basically an homage to the movie, "The Fly".

I also noticed the voice recorder repeating "What am I becoming?" (Possibly not the recorder, but just voice over effects.) while a cockroach crawled over it.
Coincidence? Was a cockroach just accidentally on set while they were filming? Or was that intentional!? D:

Cockroaches appear to be significant in the series. I would assume that Mohinder is developing the attributes/abilities of the roach. Of course, I could be totally wrong.

Not sure if there's a clear definition of what exactly this transformation Mohinder is going through is. It's pretty clear it's seriously messing him up. The traits we're aware of are enhanced strength, speed, stamina, and an ability to climb walls. It's also transforming him physically in some monstrous way. It also seems to affect his behavior as well, increasing his aggression among other behavioral effects. Hopefully someone will find a way to fix this and get back normal Mohinder. Don't think we'll ever get a clear look at the full transformation.

Hi all! I'm new to the forum. I agree with all who said that they miss plain old Mohinder. It was nice having someone with no superhuman abilities making a difference and trying to save the world. I think either Claire's blood or the real formula will be what put him right. From a purely aesthetic perspective Mohinder should be all smooth and adorable, not slimy with scales. The super cockroach power has my vote, btw.

I have the perfect name for Suresh!
Last week, a number of us were discussing (posting here at 9thWonders actually) about Mohinder's power and his apparent metamorphosis ala "The Fly", and a numbrer of us speculated he was roachman.
There are various names for him: BrundleMo, RoachMo...
But because of tonight's scene with with his future self and that hissing noise.. I have the PERFECT name for him.
Thanks to the following Wiki entry.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Madagascar_hissing_cockroach"The Madagascar hissing cockroach (Gromphadorhina portentosa), also known as Hissing roach or simply Hisser, is one of the largest species of cockroach, reaching 2-3 inches at maturity."Mohisser!!

While I was watching the episode, I wasn't sure, but after thinking about it some more, the bug idea seems more and more likely. First, he is able to crawl on the walls, which happened pretty soon after he injected himself, has increased strength (some bugs can lift several times their body weight), has an aversion to light (he winced at the sunlight and closed the shutters), and scurries around from one shelter to another.
Plus, Greg Beeman's blog described Mo's powers as "bug-like"
Trayton
Oct 6 2008, 10:34 PM
all those combined match a cockroach. Cockroaches love the dark, loathe the light, can crawl on walls, are fairly strong, and scurry fast. also, the Mad. Hissing Roach makes the same noise as Mobugder does.

To me he looks like a mix of the Beast/Spidey/Lizardman/The Fly abilities.

Pulling people in their "home" is typical for spiders...
