I like Mohinder as a character, but I can't help wondering, if they put a stop to him unlocking the secrets of abilities and removing abilities, and undo certain elements of the timeline curing him of his current state of affairs, do you think he may have outlived his usefulness on the show? Unless they intend to make him a villain corrupted by his mutation, I can't really see what else they would do with him.

Many here (me included) have said that it is like the fly. But Mohinder also reminds me of Dr. Connors in Spiderman, he was trying to find a way to grow his arm back after he lost it and turned into Reptile, a villain. I think Mohinder will get kinda the same treatment, from a naive, good hearted person to a monster literraly... it will be a shame to lose him, I like what he gives to the story (I know, I am probably in the minority here)

Yeah so you can't see any other route either? If they decide to keep him as a villain, does that mean he's going to spend hours in makeup week in and week out? Bet he's going to hate that!

I too noticed The Fly similarities. I think it was hard not to for anybody who has seen the movie!

Yeah, the similarities were uncanny LOL.
But I guess that maybe this arc of Mohinders story will be told and closed in this season. If thats the case, I hope they dont do it too rushed. And although it will be a shame to lose the character, if its done good, it will be really awesome to see.

I don't think it's a matter of Mohinder outliving his usefulness, but rather becoming more of a hinderance than a help in his hopes to solve his fathers work, it has completely consumed him...

I agree with the fly reference though...total Goldblum...haha

Agreed...he's such an integral part of the story...and if that's the case, his character totally deserves that respect.

I think this is the season when Mohinder will finally find the cure and then he'll be given another purpose. A scientist on a show that has a lot to do with science (fake science or not) can never outlive his usefulness. wink.gif

Agree, he is for me integral to what made Heroes a cool show... and the way the character had been treated in the show (from brilliant, naive, innocent, good person to dumb, rash, impulsive, and now rather malignant) he deserve a better send off... if it comes time to kill off the character, which i hope they dont.

SureshMan, SureshMan, Friendly neighborhood Suresh...Uhm, no that's not it!

Oh!

CockeroachMo, CockeroachMo, unfriendly neighborhood...No, wiat for

Didn't Mo's Dad name his Iguana after him? Does say plenty; He probably knew about a serum, and that Mo would develop it? IDK.

Hopefully, we will get to see what butterflies were stepped on, and remove those from harm and right the future, and Mo back to a scientist and narrator.

I haven't thought about this before, but I actually agree with the OP. Mohinder has long moved away from his initial role in the series, as investigator, and there's nothing much in its place. I agree I'd be sad to see him go, but it would be a great impact, emotionally, if he went.

Yeah I understand what you're saying, but what exactly could they have him do? I mean that as a genuine question, if you can think of anything voice it. I can't think of anything. He doesn't reckon he can cure abilities, and I think curing the abilities would suck, personally. It sort of turns Heroes into a show about regular people then. He won't be creating abilities because he doesn't want to end the world. I just can't think of anything they'd do with the character as long as they keep him as a good guy.

Unless they use CG...you know, if he like transforms completly. 0_o;
Which would be pretty awesome. XD Man-eating bug monster!

Buuuut...I AM worried for Mo.
I mean, despite it's cliche-ness this storyline has potential but what use would Mo have 'cept for being a cautionary tale/sob story?

If he does get killed off I hope he goes down fighting.
Like it seems like he's becoming a monster but then he does a 360 at the last minute and sacrifices himself? Like he's a monster but he still has a human heart and blah blah blah.
Poor Mo. >>;

You think Sy would like slime and scales? blink.gif ?

At least flies don't live very long! Even better, they lay lots of eggs and like to hang around smelly places. Dunno why Mohinder is in the future. rolleyes.gif

I have a question, in the Marvel universe, there are "mutants" like Adam, and "altered humans" like Mohinder, so would The Haitians ability work against Suresh as well?

mohinder doesnt need to b bad just cos he became a freak:( a kick ****** lookin freak.) this adds to his story cos he can continue doin his fathers work as a misunderstood freak.

It's the ultimate irony.. Sylar and Mohinder in the future switch places.

I want to see Sylar turn good, bless him.

They need to stop him doing his Father's work though. That's what gives everyone abilities and equals the end of the world.

I don't know about that, Mohinder didn't do anything particularly villainous when Peter was in the future. He just told him what went wrong, told him Sylar's ability is dangerous, and stood around looking scabby.

I don't want to see good Sylar. Neutral? Maybe.

Mohinder is TOTALLY "the Fly" and TOTALLY awesome now. I love his story so far this season which is why i started the BrundleMo fan-club. Now next season is a different story. Unless they plan to negate this season by having Nathan not get shot or some such fix, I don't see how they plan to keep him on the show.

All that makeup every scene would get old.

neutral would work, i mean his last name is "grey"

oh and the very fact that pPeter saw the future and is now back almost certainly negates it from acctually occuring. I am sure they will retconn something to make him all better, like ali's new role on the show.

it kinda feels like they are acting like season 2 doesnt exist and that breaks the momentum.
like they over thought everything during the hiatus.

Just my 2 cents, i am sure the coming episodes will prove me wrong
