I've just thought of this now... Peter just teleported himself into Level 5. It'd be pretty funny if he was stuck in there now! biggrin.gif

If he can get out, surely so can Sylar. He didn't seem to want to escape at the time, but he can't be enjoying sitting in a cell by himself.

Well, it's not because they are in level 5 that they can't use powers. Depends on if the Haitian's there! The guy who throw blue fireballs (I'm never able to remember the name! lol) happened to do so on the glass when he were there!

As for Sylar being able to pass throught, well... First thing, like you said, he's playing the hunting right now, not really being a bad guy. Secondly, at first when they couldn't trusted him, they druged him. Now, Angela trusts him for some reason, and he does starts turning to the good side! tongue.gif

I might be wrong, however, I didn't think Gabe could teleport.

Or, are ya implyin' that he could use an ability to get out?!?
evagolden
Not that he can teleport, but he could tk the window the way he does with head, or liquify it (supposing he has both Meltdown and Painting in the future, it is not impossible that he still has liquify now).

I see what you're saying, but in the latest BTE they mentioned they do have some ability stopping technology in the cells.

Yeah the latter. TK the glass, whatever he could. He's a resourceful guy I'm sure he could manage if he tried.

“Hiro and Ando are locked up in Level 5. Flint used his fire in his cell and Peter phased through his cell. Assuming that the Haitian will not stay on Level 5 forever, can't Hiro just teleport him and Ando out or does the Company have some ability stopping technology in the cells?”

The company definitely has some ability-stopping “technology” in Level 5.

Source: BTE

2ND EDIT: I also considered how they put "technology" as in maybe they meant the Haitian. But people were in the cells for a long time, and the Haitian is out and about on missions a lot, he can't be there all the time.

Can't wait to see if Peter is still in Sylar's cell next week. I know it's not very likely to happen, but wouldn't it be cool if Peter showed Sylar the future?
evagolden
Dunc: Well, like I said (did I say it? lol), they gived some drugs to Sylar at first so that he can't use his abilities, right? My guest, they gived this drug to those whom abilities could be used to get out and leave alone those whom abilities aren't useful for such an escape (blue-flame, he kept using his flames on the window, to no effect, Jesse's shouting may not be strong enought, Knox, if no one is frightened around, is pretty useless, and the German, well, his the wall are metalics? Well, maybe not his room at least! lol

I can just about visualise Angela's reaction to seeing him in Sylar's cell looking sheepish! That'd be amazing!

So you reckon they drugged Hiro then, or that the Haitian was just always around when he was in?
evagolden
Well, MY theory is that the Haitian was near enought Hiro the whole time for this episode. We never saw him elsewhere, and I can picture Angela giving the Haitian a boring mission such as "make sure the geeky time-traveler doesn't teleport out of his cell". Opposingly to Hiro, the Haitian doesn't seems to mind being a "sentinel"! lol

But you can figure they drugged him, or that this particular Level-2 cell has anti-space/time binding technology (quite undoubtly, this last one), or anything that comes to mind! This won't change the fact that Hiro and Ando didn't escaped! tongue.gif

Or the other other option; he didn't even bother trying! They just told him his abilities wouldn't work in there and he believed it!

For Hiro, I think that would work, for others . . . from what we've seen, the technology doesn't prevent them from using their powers, but it does prevent them from escaping.

My guess would be that the technology emits an energy field similar to the nullifying effect of the Haitian's power, but that field doesn't expand to fill an area like the Haitian's power -- it only works right at the field, similar to an electric fence. You can certainly shock yourself if you try to go through the fence, but you can walk around all day inside and it isn't going to hurt you.

Yes, I believe Peter's trapped. He finally gets his come-uppance for not thinking things through.
empath2380
Well if they are trapped in a cell together it would certainly be a good way for him to get to know his brother. Hey, maybe Pete and Gabe help each other to control the hunger. They both regenerate now so its not like they can really kill each other.

Yeah! They could test and practice different abilities and play some mean games of "Rock, Paper, Scissors (and maybe dynamite)" or "Bloody Knuckles"! laugh.gif

Maybe Angela will give them a time out and they will have to each sit in separate corners of the cell. laugh.gif

I am not sure why he went to the cell in the first place. It doesn't make much sense to me.
Can sombody please explain?!

I think it was just to say "ner ner I've been to the future and got your IA. I'm not going to become you though, ner ner".
prander
Maybe there's an evolved human with an "escape negating" power, like the Haitian has a "power negating" power. I'm not sure if I should laugh at that or not. laugh.gif

Thats what I immediately thought of! laugh.gif But you just know that Angela would do that in a totally creepy, devouring mother way.

"Ok Sylar, I'm outta here. Got a world to save!"

Tries to teleport out and can't

"DOH!" "Stupid power dampening force-thingy!"

I wonder if it's actually possible (for a fit ex-nurse like Peter...) to pin a man against the wall who's at least half a head taller? My first impression was that he was using super strength there, before I realised he probably couldn't... And technically, there shouldn't be any "hunger" if both their abilities are blocked in that cell.

I actually could imagine that there is no blocker in that cell, as Sylar can't get out on his own using TK (hard to believe though that is) and that Peter can teleport out again.

(I also wonder how Peter knew where to teleport though.)

We've seen prisoners be able to use their abilities within the cells (for example, Flint with his blue flams) but can't get out. So I'm guessing that the power dampener is more like an electric fence.

Yeah, it bothered me that Peter knew exactly where Sylar was. Maybe his IA showed him Molly's ability?

Lastly, it kinda bothered me that Peter got all buff between seasons 1 and 2 and none of the other characters even comments on it lol
aulduron
I'd say the cells are strong enough to keep most of them in. Teleporters, phasers, and others probably get fed drugs, like they've done to both Peter and Sylar, in the past.

Peter saw Noah drag Sylar into the cell, didn't he?

I thought that was Noah dragging Elle away from the sparks (and no, being able to produce electricity doesn't make her immune to it once its separate from her. We saw this when she was electrucuted by Mr. Muggle's doggy bath.)

I could be wrong. That scene is blurry to me.
aulduron
Wasn't Peter over top of Elle, at that time?

GoldSeven
Oh, I agree - he saw that Sylar had gone down and assumed he was still there. In any case, level 5 was the last place Peter had seen Sylar. It makes sense that this is the first place he'd look. And teleporting into level 5 was not as dumb as it might appear - the last time Peter had been kept prisoner by the Company, he was drugged so he couldn't use his powers. He'd seen Flint use his powers in there. So there's absolutely no reason for him to assume that his powers are blocked in level 5.

That scene was done from Elle's perspective, so it's not possible. It was Sylar being dragged.

Your right, I remember now. Thank you for clearing that up.

Anyway...I'm so excited to see what happens between these two tonight!
