so does Noah Bennet have abilities and we don't know it yet? when he went into the bank, sylar said that it was reverse psychology that saved him, but was he counting on a hidden ability to save him rather? but the reason I ask this, is the name of sylar's son? is it his son, or is it really HRG as a youngling, either because of time travel or he's a reverse ager like in the stephen king tv movie golden years. this is just a theory until we find out if sylar hooked up with anyone

Umm

Noah Bennet is a normal. Always has been, always will be.
RiddlerHanjinome
Nah, he has a power.

The power of being a badass.

sharisse
lmao he most definitely has the power of being a badass smile.gif

One of the best things about the show is that noah has no power, and that even if powers became widely available for anyone who wanted one, he'd be the one character who would choose not to take one.

However, I wouldn't NOT believe that he was a reverse ager either... though I don't remember the kid noah having glasses, and theoretically, if he was a reverse ager, wouldn't he need them still since he needed glasses because of an actual event in his life that damaged his retinas or whatnot, not because they were bad when he was old/young?

Nope, Noah Bennet is completely powerless. Mohinder was powerless too, until he decided to be stupid and inject himself with the formula.

i really ddnt see baby noah as being actual noah, i thouhgt it was just showing gabriel's and noah's connection that they'd had through working together. im glad noah has no powers
spiderfrommars
There's no way that baby noah is actual noah reverse aged by his own means... this is only 4 years in the future, not 20 or 30

I think it's made clear that HRG doesn't have a power given how he is always partnered with "one of them" and even referenced in the episode title One of Us, One of Them. As for eventually acquiring an ability using the formula, I don't think anyone could doubt that if it's necessary to protect his family, HRG would almost certainly give himself an ability (not that it would actually be at all good for the story, though..).

As for young Noah, I agree with spiderfrommars and sharisse that Gabriel had named his child Noah as a reminder of HRG and possibly how he goes onto become a mentor for him in that timeline; possibly helping him to suppress the hunger. Purely conjecture though.
sharisse
i really hope thats true james, i think that its a fitting tribute to him, but perhaps little noahj's sudden and tragic end is a sign of whats to come (or what happened) to noah in that time.

or of course, sylar and noah got together, found love, and adopted baby noah! thers a story! hehehe
prander
Noah's got way too much going on in terms of "matching" evolved humans. What he lacks by not having a power, he more than makes up in adaptability, confidence, experience, focus, intelligence, knowledge, motivation, resourcefulness, etc. He is much more effective and "powerful" than most of them in that sense. That's enough for him, so I seriously doubt that he'll ever be given a power.
sharisse
yes i agree prander, his power comes naturally to him and it would be a mistake if he was given a power i nthe future, unless it was an absolute necessity for his family but i cant see that happening
spiderfrommars
Exactly, you don't need super powers to be a hero. There's actually a large amount of comics based off of powerless people. Batman's just the most famous one.

Actually, Shanti opened the possibility that Mohinder would manifest an ability.

Noah doesn't have anything like that.
sharisse
i always thought that because of shanti, mohinder would be special, or, as it happened, become special. i dont think theres any chance of this with noah.

Maybe mohinder already was special and he just didn't realize it, and this whole transformation deal is a negative side effect of having an ability and still using the formula.
Shizniddle Snap
Spider,

That is a very interesting theory. I had not considered that possibility. Maybe Mohinder did get the formula right and it is just his own body chemistry that made the adverse side effects. Good job and continue to stir up the conversations!
sharisse
o yes i could actually see that being the truth. iv always thought that there was something different with mohinder, why make him the brother of shanti without having a power himself? however, it also brings the question of whether siblings have powers, discussed quite a lot on here. i think that in this case, his powers were never meant to be out in the open, but he has forced them and therefore ruined them and himself. i think that noah has no chance of this happening, thank goodness!
aussiebattler16
I don't think he does or else Sylar would have known and taken them from him. And if Mohinder did, they would have manifested my know when considering age and the amount of adrenaline-charged situations he's been in
