Something is severely wrong with Mohinder! He's gone crazy from this new ability or whatever we should call it. It's pretty easily beating out his humanity. What does he need with taking these people and hanging them up? Does he have some hunger or actual need to feed off of them for some reason? This is such a weird transformation. Though it appears to be bug like, I feel there's still a bit more to be understood about what's going on.

Agree! Mo's self-injected "power" is getting more and more ridiculous (we have yet to see what he's capable of on screen). But since Nathan mentioned to Jessica that Mo is the one that can help her, hopefully next week will get better. And I think the people he "webbs" are testing objects cause let's face it, he wouldn't want to inject anything into his body anytime soon.

Wait, isn't he "recruited" to Arthur's "army" too? Remember when "Linderman" gave Daphne those files of Knox and Mohinder and told her to work with them. That means Maury's messing with his head too, as well as Daphne's, Knox's and now Hiro's (c'mon, Hiro would never kill Ando on purpose. He even hesitated killing Sylar and didn't kill Adam, who were his worst enemies back then. Why would he kill his friend?).

i really like the suggestion about maury being in mohinder's head and creating this new strangely-abled, hard-bodied, super-strong, over-sexed mohinder.
i've been so completely frustrated with what is going on so far with him. i just feel like it goes against everything he knows about science to inject himself with this adrenaline mix, without knowing what can happen to him. no scientist would take such a risk and endanger his life and his work that way.
additionally, i've also been wondering if maybe his insect-like changes will lead to him becoming a cockroach. they've been fairly prevalent in the past, but their presence has never really been explained. i'm thinking maybe there's some sort of metamorphosis thing going on, or it's because of the reality that cockroaches are the only creature that will survive nuclear devastation, which is an ability no human can claim.
just ideas...

I think that Mohinder's vial, the one that was in Mohinder the Lizard's glass case, the one he injected himself with, was contaminated by the Lizard and because of that, he's becoming a Lizardman. It explains the way he crawled on the floor in the future episode.

Oct 15 2008, 01:06 AM
The way he cocoons his victims is obviously the way spiders do, they sting, paralyze, web their victims and suck their blood later when they are hungry, until then you are alive, paralyzed and wait for your death feeling how the spider is sucking you dry. Horrible death!
Anyway, I really hope and I'm also sure (thank god!) that maya won't die on this since she will be having scenes with seth later in the show. A person that will help her in some way.
If they would use her only so she can be his victim it would be horrible writing to say the least.
Most of all since she is so far the only really kind hearted person that wants only to do good in the show.
As about the haters of her I think that you will be exactly the persons that will whine about cheap deaths at the end if she ends up like D.L. that everyone hated and said he is needless until he owned Linderman.
Only to get killed afterwards and see all the people that hated him complaining that he was cool and that it was a waste to kill him.

Well he had goop coming off his hands in an earlier ep.
I wish they had chosen something more unique for him than a spider(wall climbing, webs, cocooned prey what else could it be. a silk worm? ) particularly since it's our first 'animal' power. The mention of him maybe being a Lizard would still be lifted from the pages of Spiderman (possible moreso) The whole scientist friend turned into an uncontrollable Lizardman thing.

Oct 15 2008, 04:16 PM
I do remember the goop coming out of his hands scene, I just think it would be kinda cool to basically see him just basically vomiting a giant mass of it up all over his prey...
And the more and more I think about it, I don't think that mohinder is turning into any one specific animal. It seems more like he's aquiring different traits from various different animals. The whole crawling on walls and wrapping prey up in a web coming from spiders. And although it appears as scales on his body, I'm a supporter that the growths on his skin are cockroach in nature, especially considering fMo's hissing. Shots of the scales on him make the scales look like each one is a cockroach. The quick movements/reflexes and general strength can be seen as coming from many different members of the insect kingdom.

I'm thinking you've got it right, DoctorClaude. It would really set up a good obstacle for another storyline--if Mohinder is a 'monster' now, how will he respond when he finds out about baby? Kill Maya? Get paternal? Will he have done damage to the baby with his experimental serum? I dunno--just think it would be an interesting line to explore.

Me too... if lizard/bug mohinder has to have offspring it should be from him laying eggs in people or something like that...
But I think that would be a nice way to turn mohinder from fierce predator into a guy who views himself as a fool for using the formula like we saw in the future. Notice Maya wasn't in that future? (I'm gonna feel like an idiot bringing that up if she was but I don't recall it)

I hope Maya dies hero. But I like your idea too. At least that would be sooo much better than her better than Sylar shooting her to turn the tragedy of losing her brother into a joke. I'm really ticked about how the Maya character has been handled.
I'm beginning to wonder if there isn't a strain of misogyny on this show? Caitlin--who cares what happens to her? Eden--at least she died like a Hero and her death made sense. Simone--dead--just because? Candice--dead. Maya--? I hated the way the Deveaux family, DL and others died. I really wonder what's going on here.

My first thought about the whole "webbing people to the wall" thing was that he needs something from them to turn back to normal. Maybe the adrenal glands of a normal person can be transformed into some kind of antidote for Mohinder? The possibility of turning back to normal would be enough of a motivation for Mohinder to kidnap/kill people, I think.
But it's just a thought.

Oct 19 2008, 04:58 PM
Mohinder now reminds me of the transformation of the Evil Doctor in the movie Lost In Space. (Gary Oldman's character.) While That creeped me out (I've got arachnophobia), Mohinder doesn't at all... Even his Future Self, although moved more like the Spider-Human transformation from Lost In Space --- it didn't scare me in the least. (This is coming from a person who cannot even look at a picture of a spider without freaking out!)
... So maybe Mohinder isn't a spider-human-hybrid. Maybe he's something else?
And :: Is he eating these people or what? {Why does it just not seem interesting enough?}
PS ~ I think ElectricShock may be onto something!
