It couldn't have happened, right? I mean, Hiro is going to go back to the past & fix it, right? No, no. dammit!

Why would Hiro be Ando's best friend again & then just stick him cause Knox told him to do it, why?
gamepete64
How could he have done it without remorse, it was all so quick. I thought that maybe he would go back in time and prevent it or something. sad.gif sad.gif
RubberDucky
makes absolutely no sense for Ando to be killed? even if Hiro thinks that Ando may kill him in the future, how does killing him now really resolve anything
Mr. Clubber T Baracus
Ok, it's "apparent" that Ando is "dead", although we know a former episode, Ando and Hiro go at it, with Hiro ending up kicking the goat skin. My question is this: What is your theory on how he survives?

Thoughts?
blackmint
I think we didn't see everything. Remember someone can freeze time.
lauryn
Now Adam can heal Ando and then Ando will be ****** at Hiro, ala future.
Leek
If Ando is really dead I hate Heroes. Why. WHY UNSPECIAL ANDO. Please let it be a lie. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE.
CharlieNakamura
Yeah... I kept waiting for him to reverse time or something... no way he just KILLED his best friend!? unsure.gif Please Hiro... don't be that dumb!

I have lost all faith in you, Hiro Nakamura. 'Tis a sad day.

That's it exactly. Faced with this sudden decision to make, Hiro quickly resolved to go back on what he said in the season premiere, about never going back in time again. I predict he will get what he wants out of partnering with Daphne and Knox, then, once he has the formula, he'll travel back in time with the formula and keep himself from stabbing Ando.

Or at least, that's his plan I think. Whether he'll be able to pull it off is another thing entirely...

Ding ding ding we have a winner. At least I hope the writers are as smart as blackmint.
heroatheart86
I just don't believe Hiro is a murderer. Especially the murderer of his best friend. We have to have been mislead.

If he does survive, I think it will be Adam that revives him and that causes Ando to turn against Hiro. And rightfully so.

So how does he end up battling Hiro in the future? Alternate reality perhaps?
jbs829
I was thinking that they possibly faked the death, i mean it looked like he barely even touched him with the sword and he was covered in blood.
Or Hiro could always just go back in time and grab Ando before he stabbed him
evagolden
You know, I completely agree that this specific instant, Hiro gets completely Out Of Character. When I saw it... got speechless! Kinda say I'm still am! Probably one of the most disturbing scene I ever saw!

And now, that's why I like it: It's disturbing! You can't even believe it just happend! And actually, did it? Or does Hiro plans to come back and stop himself from killing Ando? Or did he stopped time to go get a fake sword and fake blood, something like that? Or did he really... you know, stabbed him?

Man, that's just umbelievable! But to make people speechless about this, that what makes this scene impressive! Now we do question this scene!

Yet I can see guys coming and say this doesn't make sense and all, blablabla, without even wondering if Hiro has some kind of plan in the first place... Even if we know his plans aren't always the best one! But Ando can't be dead: He has to kill Hiro, remember?!?
Bubpheenam15
I was sitting in my room with my friend and all of us were saying "no he's not going to do it, he's going to freeze time, etc." and then when he stabbed him, we all looked like this

Alternate future.

I would guess that he froze time and just made it look like he stabbed Ando - but in that case, Daphne would have seen it, since he can't freeze time for her. ARRRRGHHH!! Dammit Kring, you better not have just RUINED my favorite character by making him kill his best friend for no reason!!
ordinaryhero
Me and my friends were pretty much freaking out all during the commericial break...I think a little part of me just died sad.gif
I still don't want to get too worked up about in, in case there's some explanation behind it we don't know about yet... if not...Hiro you just killed the dog. I don't know how he'll be redeemable after this! Everyone will always be thinking 'yeah, but he STABBED ANDO!" Without much remorse, I might add. Whhhhhyyyyy ohmy.gif
Alera
Th-there has to be a trick somewhere. Hiro can freeze time after all...he had to be fooling them somehow. He cant really have killed Ando sad.gif It is just...so out of character for sweet innocent Hiro.
heroatheart86
If Hiro stabbed me and then went back and prevented it from happening I would still be pretty upset with Hiro. I don't see how they can go back to being BFF
Dave Dunn
I'm sorry. I'm not trying to be mean or anything, but you guys can't be that naive. Ando is not dead. Hiro is just not that type of character. If he is dead, then good. It will be the first interesting thing that Hiro's done in a while.
DoctorClaude
I think he actually did it...but I definitely don't think this is the end of Ando.

Be it he didn't actually kill him, or Adam fixes him up, or even the Company (or Pinehurst) takes the body and experiments on him...Ando is gonna be back, and he's gonna be hacked off.

remember that daphne was there so if he frezzes time or something she would have notice it.
wherediddeango
I guess we know why ando kills f hiro. i think daphne has a hand in ando's return and attaining poweres. She seemed pretty opposed to killing ando. That or hiro plays with time again
Aerdna
It seems like the more Hiro tries to prevent devastating events from happening, the more he creates the events rolleyes.gif

I still can't believe it, I'm in shock.
evagolden
Yeah, I forgot about this issue when I wrote my message, but my point is there maybe something we didn't saw! Heck, maybe he stopped time, told Daphne about his plan and asked her to ''act it out''...

But seriously, we can't figure out what's up with this specific scene, we can only assume! But I can't wait for next episodes to get some answers now, and that's why this show is great, even if some weird-but-interesting stuff happens!
entropyw65
If he killed Ando it would be completely out of character.

So,

If Hiro did kill Ando I am completely done with the show.

I'm also tired of super-powered people being such wimps.

Hiro should have stopped time, lopped off Knox's head and handed it to Daphne, proving he was a bad ******.

That would have been some good writing.
evagolden
entropy: Yeah, sure, that's a good way to get to the formula and prevent its destruction! I'm not excusing Hiro's stabbing, but he has to get as close to the formula as possible, remember?

But, Ando... Yeah, I want to know now!!
philip098123
Hiro is the perfect villain. His obsession over heroism will lead him to do many vile deeds. Bury a man who can not die -- kill a friend. This is just the beginning.

ROFLOL. I forgot about that. Guess we're stuck with the ridiculous time travel solution. Or the equally as ridiculous magic blood resurrection. (Or the even more ridiculous Hiro and Daphne have a chat, decide to trick Knox, even though Daphne is suspicious of Hiro).

Whose to say Daphne wasn't in on it?
MartyKirra
I don't think there is a way to fix this. Hiro stabs Ando, his best friend. You don't stab your best friend.

When Knox told Hiro to kill Ando, what Hiro should've done was say no, instead of complying.
RickRossin
We will just have to see how it plays out. But the problem is he can't go back in time because Daphne will still be there hence, so how to freeze time. Only hope was that Hiro and Ando figured something out at the bar. That's what I think. They figured out because nobody was surprised about them being recruited. So it was planned at the bar there will be no time travel except for the episode explaning about the bar.

Logic and Reason?

Seriously, the writers would have a hard time convincing me that Daphne and Hiro hatched a plan during a time freeze. Not saying it isn't possible, but it is going to be hard.

I disagree there is always a reason to stab your best friend. Maybe your friend hit on your girl, stole and wrecked your car, etc.
ruppan
As mentioned, Daphne would have noticed a time stop. I doubt that Hiro would have approached her and had a discussion. That would be really naive on Hiro's party since all he knows about Daphne is that she's a thief.

Going back in time to stop the murder would also create problems. It would undo everything that he's trying to do by killing Ando and gaining entrance to the specials army.

My theory is that when Knox asked Hiro to kill Ando, Hiro went back in time, told Ando and they set everything up. If Hiro transpoted himself back to that exact instance when he left, Daphne shouldn't have noticed.

As an aside, I think Hiro should be able to neutralize Daphne's ability. Instead of stopping time, Hiro could reverse time when around her. Like he did with the bullet and clocks. There's nothing a speedster could do about that.

Daphne is a thief, doing tasks just to get a buck she's not a true cold-hearted villain like Knox, Maury, Adam et el.

She doesn't like to get her hands dirty as she stated herself, so it is not out of the realm of belief that within that split second, Hiro stopped time and set something up with Daphne, in fact, that would make the most sense.
Tricky
Of course I assume that Ando's not really dead...

..but I'm just having a freak cause what I saw was either REALLY great acting, or so far out of character for Hiro to be unbelievable. Personality & streets wise I'm not too far off from Knox. Putting myself in his frame of mind knowing what Hiro's power is, I would've picked up Ando's body & smashed his head open on the bar, cause why would I believe that this Japanese dude would stab his BFF just cause I dared him to do it, to join up with me with no questions asked?

Knox & Hiro played the fools in that scene & really the writers shouldn't have had to use Ando like that in order to make the point. Ando's too cool for that. sad.gif
themightytruk
This is the most frustrating thing about the episode to me (didn't really have major issues with anything else). I REFUSE to believe that really happened! Hiro wouldn't stab his best friend! He just wouldn't! sad.gif It must be some sort of trick! I hope. I really don't like being left like this after the event. I hope we find out soon what really happened. I kinda like the idea that Hiro and Daphne secretly teamed up to fake it, but it does seem a bit far fetched. Though, Daphne seemed pretty opposed to killing, so I think she would have gone with Hiro's plan if that was indeed the case. *crosses fingers*
conspiracytheory
Don't jump over that shark, Hiro. DON'T YOU JUMP IT!

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
mtalon1
Good grief.

Peter going loopy and digging into his brother's head? That one I can explain.

Hiro suddenly deciding to join up with the bad guys and stab his best friend just to have the chance to save the world? PRE-POS-TER-OUS.

In fact, it's such a stupid idea that it has to be a red herring. I'd give 'em one or two episodes to clear it up before we go completely psychotic about it. I mean, c'mon...Hiro?
slingtheory
andos not dead. theres no way. i get that this season is supposed to blur the lines between heros and villians and all but there is no way hiro would do something that out of character just all of a sudden. the writers know that hiro and ando are one of the most popular things about the show and all of this is just a way to try to surpise and shake up the audience. somehow what we saw isn't what really happened and andos still alive. but i'm still pretty sure this situation will be used to add more drama in their relationship leading to the future hiro saw.
Leek
As I play it over and over in my mind what keeps getting me is the fact that he didn't even have to be convinced that much. He didn't even try to put up a "Badass" argument like "You don't need powers to be a super villain!"...SOMETHING other then killing his BEST FREAKING FRIEND.

Honestly, after he threw such a tantrum cause Future Ando killed him, he just goes and does THAT?

I hope that's what has happened. The show is really getting good, they have us worked up very well. Hiro is also my favorite character and I hope he didn't kill Ando.

If he did, that would be a weird and interesting twist of events.

Nooooo Ando noooo!!!

That is all I can think of right now. DDD=
