Full Version: How did Hiro know?

When Hiro and Ando were in the bar with Daphne and Knox, he said that he had heard about what they were doing. How would he have known that someone else was recruiting members? He's been locked in a cell and among the Company, who doesn't know what's going on either. Maybe I missed something? ermm.gif

It seemed to me that he had had a conversation with Knox before Daphne showed up, but they didn't explain it very well. Knox called someone on the phone and reported that they had gotten Adam and what should be done about the two Japanese guys. So the way I worked it out in my head, he was told to try to get them on board. Then he approached them and pitched the idea and they agreed. Then later they met up with Daphne and Knox together.

That's a lot of speculation on my part, but it's all I can imagine happened.

Adam told Hiro about the bar being a place for "heroes for hire", remember? I assume Hiro connected that with Daphne and Knox looking for them.

Hiro being previously acquainted with Daphne caught her drift.

Want to save to the world and stop the formula? Come with me.

She really isn't a villain or a hero. She's passing the world saving thing to Hiro. Even she is creeped out by the guy she is working for.

But she did not expect Knox's recruiting standards.

Maybe I'm the only one, but I don't think Adam was in that cell for 30 years, as he says. Who else says he was there? And why should we believe them, or anyone? That's a pretty good cover, "couldn't have been me, everyone knows where I was for the last 30 years".

I feel like there was a deleted scene that REALLY shouldn't have been deleted in between adam's kidnapping and the scene at the bar.

Agree, i don't understand that part. Perhaps it was delete scene, is very foolish they did that, cause many of us still don't know why Hiro did to Ando, a act or for real.

Maybe you're right. It's not like the founders have referenced him being in there for so long or anything.

Huh! I thought Hiro was just playing along to get at whoever holds the Formula and the best way would be to get to Daphne's employer. unsure.gif

And Daphne already knew that. It wouldn't be a surprise if Hiro stopped time to fool Knox and Daphne went along with it.

She does not trust her boss anyway with the Hitler-esque sales pitch.

I think my "explanation" works pretty well.
Shizniddle Snap
I think Daphne is in on whatever Hiro is planning.
