Having being disappointed by their fights in Homecoming, Fight Years Gone, and How to Stop an Exploding Man (I actually liked their brief fight in .07%), I felt that this was their best fight yet. It was cool, Peter had the upperhand, Sylar was actually being good. That whole role reversal thing was great!
I can't be the only one who believes that we finally got a proper Peter vs. Sylar fight.

I defiantly agree, the role reversal was awesome.
I feel like all the fight scenes we get between Peter and Sylar are extremely short and one sided
I'm still waiting for a Peter vs. Sylar fight of decent length that doesnt have someone with an obvious upperhand

Sylar probably didn't want to fight back. Peter is his brother, and he has fully embraced his new family. Unfortunately, Peter doesn't seem too keen on forgiving him, so even as Sylar refuses to fight, Peter still mercilessly beats him.

so peter must've absorbed the new abilities of sylar, which arthur now has as well. this is insane! and i totally agree, the fight between pete and sylar was AWESOME. hopefully they finish this season with an epic fight between the two of them, or at least some intense battle of some kind that totally makes up for S1's ending.

It was a good fight and I definitely wouldn't have wanted Sylar to prevail like usual against Peter who now also has Intuitive Aptitude to lead him to victory in a fight, at least not with Gabriel at his current power level. He'll definitely need some sort of boost if they're ever going to have a Battle Royale confrontation on the same level. Haha and that line right before Peter knocked him out was brutal! Im sure mah boy Sy will eventually get even though

Luckily Sylar was somewhat saved by Peter.
Cause now Peter is super screwed.
I wonder what Sylar will end up doing about that.

i don't get what everybody means by wanting these "huge epic never-ending battles".. this is heroes, not dragonball Z. a character-driven show like this cannot be hogged down by 15 minute super hero battles.

While this show may be character driven, there is absolutly nothing wrong with wanting more fights. This is a superhero show, and it is natural to want to see superhero fights. I absolutly freaking loved this fight, and it was exactly what I had been hoping for. I love how Peter is much more of a badass now (I'm the most Special!), and the fact that he actually beat Sylar really made this fight epic. I'm a huge Sylar fan, but I truely enjoyed the fight, even when he got his face mashed in. I give the fight a solid A-, saving A and A+ for the rest of the season, because this season is starting to look epic, and I expect much more awesomeness to come.

I liked this fight. I liked .07%'s fight better. If this one were longer, if Sylar had actually tried to protect himself, maybe I'd have liked it better. He just kinda stood there and was all "Peter don't hurt me" (except for 2 moves or so). Sylar could do better. Peter could've done better, but I don't expect it from him.

What I'm hoping we'll see is either Peter & Sylar side-by-side taking down Arthur or a true team-up of heroes taking down Arthur. Kind of like what they started to do at the end of season 1 but let them work together more like a team.

Really liked this fight! Pretty awesome use of those powers of Peter's. It's not very often at all that we see Peter take the offensive, and certainly not quite like that. But Sylar wasn't even really fighting back. Boy have the roles reversed...though, now it seems that Peter won't be doing anything like this again soon...

It was great to finally see a multitude of powers used in one scene. That said, it was also somewhat sad that I think that this was the best epic fight to date on the show. Sure the show is character-driven, but in a show about super heroes where two of the characters have a plethora of abilities at their disposal, there should be some sort of epic fight between the two of them at some point, and although it's not dragonball z, it's still somewhat disappointing to never see anything.
The setting wasn't right to stage a full-on fight, but I'm assuming that there's going to be another scenario later on where it is.

That's what I was thinking!

I was totally rooting for Peter! "Give it to Sylar, after everything he's done!"

This is, so far, my most favorite fight of Heroes ever. ******-off Peter fighting the guy who was responsible for a lot of the things that went wrong in his life!
I actually liked how Sylar didn't really fight back. Yeah he used TK as a defense, but IMO the whole fight was just great because Sylar simply deserved it.

I am surprised at the number of times the word epic is used in this topic. I liked the fight; it was good in a low level fight.
That being said I have been waiting for an epic fight between Sylar and Peter since season 1. I want to see all powers (that they had) used in some way. That would be an EPIC battle.

Definitely the best fight between these two yet. It seems to make sense that a fight wouldn't last long between these two. Despite the fact that they are both topped to the brim with powers they are still human beings, a couple of good blows to the head and they can still get knocked out. Yes the bruise would be healed and gone when they woke up but they still have some human frailties. Plus this isn't a Rocky film that's going to go on for 12 rounds with a montage in the middle. How many times have you seen a real fight go on for longer than a few minutes?
This is just what you want from a Heroes fight, short and sharp with plenty of powers but the emphasis on the dramatic outcome of the fight.

the thing you have to consider is that sylar only has two powers at this point...while peter had his whole arsenal.
i think a full on sylar wouldn't have let that happen so easily.

I agree with everyone, this is what we've been waiting for! Peter actually pulled some other powers out of his bag o' tricks (his use of flight was extra-awesome). I understand why Sylar didn't fight back, that he didn't want to become a monster, and that Peter is still his brother. Plus, he's only got a few abilities, whereas Peter's got, like, 20 or so. I loved how Peter shoved the whole, "I'm more special" line in Sylar's face, considering that throughout Season 1 Sylar's whole motivation was to be the most special.

Sylar has like 5 powers that we've seen him get thus far, not counting the other powers that he seemed to pull out of his buttocks in the future.
the five we've seen him get are

I have to agree 'epic' isn't what I'd go for, but for Heroes' battles standards, I guess it could apply:
- Homecoming was fine, Peter barely knew that he even had powers then...
- Five years gone wasn't bad actually, but we didn't really get to see anything more than glowing hands...
- How to stop an exploding man had so much potential but was downright disappointing...
- ...and now we get this. It was really cool, enjoyable in the way 0.07% was, but equally one-sided.
I loved how Sylar beat Peter's ****** in 0.07%, and now I loved Peter finally beating it right back (I second everyone who said his "I'm more special" line was excellent), but there
has to be a battle between them eventually where they use their powers and they're not limited by their surroundings.
Or, as has been said, some sort of event where they team up and kick ****** together big time. The Petrelli Brothers vs Dad would suit this just fine.
All the implications and buts, pluses and minuses of such a fight have already been discussed so there's MO.

This totally kicked ******, I think series 3 needed more fights of a similar calibre. Series 1 & 2 focused on establishing who was who, and more importantly who can do what. Series 3 had a lot of potential but failed in places.
The way I see it: Sylar by this this stage should have had an elemental power (Series 1 = Ice and Radioactive Manipulation) because this fight started well but could have stretched with some bright lights. Peter using Electrical Manipulation was cool and sharp, Sylar had nothing to match him. However Sylar and his character have evolved since Series 1, elemental abilities like fire or radiationdon't suit him now in my eyes. Ice would have looked cool and very "Five years gone" remenisant. Even if he used it once and never again, like Alcamey, it would have extended the battle for a bit.
Peter, not alot of issues for me!

Which is unusual for me! He was quick! Used Multiple powers! Came out on top of a Sylar fight on his own for once! And had a catchy finshing line

As I said Sylar + Elemental powe rof his own would have been nice but hay at least Peter used more than one power for once

If Peter had been able to calm down his IA and actually focus all of that knowledge he could have been remarkable... the abilities he had at his disposal AND the power to understand them all AND become viscious and confident.

There just seems to be a level of cold, calculating viscious, blunt and to the point efficiency that comes with those who have activated IA. Its made them sleek strategic forces of nature. Peter is the only one of the 4 to have not mastered IA. To truly utilize the powers to their fullest... u need an edge. Like Claude said, these connections to people are weakening you.
Peter goes again all odds..
But that is why Peter is .. The One.

p-->ROC,
An EMpath can be "cold, calculating and viscous", complete with "to the point efficiency" (Arthur*) without IA. Arthur was the very personification of a "sleek strategic force of nature".
*NOTE: Arthur is from NY baby!

(just kiddin'); But seriously, he was a NYC criminal defense trial attorney--need I say more?
