Mohinder seems to be suffering from a very similar condition as Sylar and Peter- a "hunger" for the knowledge of how things work. It's leading him to try and do experiments on people he captures, and doesn't seem to care what happens to them (very Sylar-ish!). What if he is another one of the villians? What if he turns out to be the fourth villian in the painting?!

Good theory, but he is growing stuff on his body, and turning into the moth man or something. that would be a reason to want to know others powers, so he can fix himself. I mean Nathan, and Niki's sister got their powers that way, and they have no side affects. So that was a reason to kidnap them, I doubt he want to work for Peters dad, because he might have an agenda of his own, remember when he worked for the company.

Yeah, but there's also the ruthlessness which he uses on his subjects. He even killed the drug dealer.

Good point. It could be that they're building up to a point where Mohinder will be able to sympathize with Sylar! Boy, I can imagine now how much that will thrill the people who are already so irritated by Sylar's recent transformation away from the way he used to be (I'm not one of those people, but it strikes me as another change that won't go over so well with people who are already down on other changes in character this season).

I hope he doesn't turn into a villian, but I definitely wouldn't rule it out, Saber. LOL, regardless I'll still like him, he's one of my favorites. However, your post sparked a question:
What is it that makes some people with powers have the hunger, and other people not have it?
What do y'all think?

i think he already turend villian.
he's got his girlfirend and some other people cocooned to a wall. he drugged and restrained two people to test on. and doesnt seem too happy that tracy undid their restraints

Perhaps he's one of the villains this season? I would LOVE to see his character suddenly become the type of person he's been trying to help stop. And it's all so poetic. He was jealous of those who already had powers, and so instead of waiting and testing the formula, he went ahead and injected himself. Now, it's com back to bite him. And he becomes permanently disfigured. Maybe all of, plus this "hunger" drives him insane and he turns out to be one of the main bad guys of the season!

More desperate than hungry IMO.
And we need a mad scientist as a villain.

Oh, that's perfect! Surresh as a mad scientist! He fits the part - his obsession has led to his downward spiral.

i saw him killing the drug dealer as being him choosing who he kills...not good people but those that he sees as being bad and therefore he justifies himself for experimenting on them

that kinda went down the wayside when he decided to do it too tracy and nathan. that was pure hunger to know HOW they made them and he couldnt.

Whatever he's classified as, I hope he's saved somehow before season's end. He's a really incompetent scientist at times (last season he recklessly smashed a cabinet of potentially hazardous chemicals, this season he suddenly realized all of his studies were a waste of time then injected himself with unstable mutagens), but still a good character for the show to have. Maybe someone can trick or force Arthur into taking his ability, then hook him up to some magic blood to fix those scale things! But if the spoilers are true about the eclipse episode, it's probably not the best option...

This is also how Sylar justified his killings. He also chose his victims, and to him, they were bad because they were undeserving of their powers.
