I find it hard to believe after everything he's seen, that Nathan will just go charging blind into Pinehearst the way his idiot brothers did. He's a powerful senator and has access to the Company resources. I foresee a large cadre of armed soldiers accompanied by the Haitian as giving Arthur the surprise of his life.

I think it's more, if my dad is alive I want answers and getting the government involved in his super powered family drama is the last thing Nathan needs to do.

I sure can't wait to see what Nathan is up to. I don't think he was telling the truth to Peter OR Tracy.

I hope they bring out the Annapolis training. Nathan is great as a leader (congressman/president) but we've never seen anything except a commercial (see in Isaac's loft) about his military training and tactics.

Nathan is going to threaten Arthur with public exposure (not learning his lesson from the 1st time) Arthur simply mind-rapes him, repeatedly telling him, he was a failure & his least favourite son.

Nathan might bring in a specials S.W.A.T. team.

That would be AWESOME, but I don't think that is what is going to happen

I'd like to see armed men entering the building, but I just can't see that happening.

I'm almost afraid to watch the next episode now. Getting in there, I don't think is going to be a problem.
It's getting out that I'm worried about.

From the way he told Tracy he didn't need doors opened, he's going to kick them in, I just see Nathan finally taking charge with leadership ability. Fallon vs. Sylar!!

I'd sure love to see him do
something with his senatorial status. From watching this season of Heroes, I think I want to be a senator when I grow up. You don't actually do anything, can run around getting caught in cockroach men's... uh... stuff without being missed, and still make enough money to afford a Kennedy desk. Sounds like a nice career choice.

The way its playing out for Nathan feels a bit like the time he went to confront Linderman with the gun and done the dirty on everyone. Obviously he made the right decision eventually.
But this time I expect to see Nathan back up his brother due to the pictures of him in Haiti, etc.
Also, Tracey is pictured with Arthur. So will she turn her back on Nathan?

I was noticing that myself. Like, a Congessional candidate I can understand, but a missing Senator from NY? Maybe he uses Eliot Spitzer's fake ID's and secret tunnels.

Gibby: You might want to spoiler-tag that bit about Haiti.

I totally want him to literally kick a door down, like how he kicked the Haitian down season 1 when he was being "kidnapped" from his hotel. He's obviously got some past baggage he is ready to confront his dad about hard core and isn't wasting any time getting to the point. As a Senator, and just as a character, Nathan is pretty smart on the show, and I'm sure he's got something up his sleeve (at least at first) to keep his Dad from trying any of the same shenanagins again. All the things we've heard about Arthur being Nathan's "here" and stuff from season 1 especially does set up what will surely be a hell of an emotional meeting.

It would be awesome if Nathan did just go all out at his dad initially, but I don't think that's going to happen. Nathan basically worshipped the man, I think he really just wants to see for himself that he's still alive in the first place.

But Peter has told him that Arthur is responsible for attacking his mom, and over the past year, Nathan's loyalties have shifted. I agree that Nathan worshipped his father, but I think that will result in an even fiercer determination to bring him down. I also agree that there might be some nagging doubt that Arthur really is this bad guy Peter makes him out to be, and I could imagine that, in their history, Peter's view of their dad was always a lot less rose-coloured than Nathan's, but I think Nathan believes Peter. And a large part of what we saw when he told Tracy "he was planning on kicking down the doors" was big brother instincts.

I think it's wrong to rule out Nathan's own ambition... you know, the thing which drives every 2 out of 3 thoughts he experiences..
GoldSeven

Ambition towards what? You think if Arthur pulls a Vader on Nathan ("Join me, my son, and together we can rule the galaxy world!") Nathan will go for it?
It will certainly be interesting to see if he's willing to listen to his father more than he was willing to listen to Linderman. But I really think Nathan has grown in that respect. He won't go for power whatever the cost. And I don't think he'll be tricked by Arthur, although Arthur might have an easier time tricking him than he could have with Peter. (On the other hand, with Peter, he only needed to trick him once...)

I was thinking more along the lines of killing his father and becoming the alpha dog of the Petrellis. He's shown a lust for power, the inclination to use people and briefly agreed with the bomb plot. That seems like a dangerous combo.

That would indeed mean he hasn't learned anything since season one, which would be a little sad. On the other hand, while every villain on Heroes is having he good guy experience and vice versa, Nathan's foray into evil hasn't happened yet. Urgs.

I'm just waiting for what we
did see in S1 to re-emerge. The way I look at it, Nathan was a semi-dastardly guy before the eclipse. and as the abilities began to swirl in his circle of friends/family, he got steadily worse. It was only when the scope of the abilities overwhelmed his wealth and political clout, in fact, dwarfing them, that he seemed to turn good. I think if he can get a taste of Senatorial power and embraces people around him with abilities, we might see a lately-hidden side of Nathan. Maybe that's just me. (I'll add that I like him much more as a character now, I thought the scene in Angela's office as she asked for help was powerful.)

One of the best scenes so far this year, they need more like that and longer.

Maybe we'll even get a seen like that once Nathan does catch up with Arthur. What the outcome will be I don't know, but I for one am expecting a hell of a reunion.
