So if the company made Sylar, how does this change everyone's views on his ability to be good? This really was such an awesome dynamic to see, she truly cared for him.

This really adds credibility for baby Noah being Elle and Sylars baby as well.

Can she save him again? He did try to kill her in level 5 but I'd like to believe she has a chance after Mom and Pop Petrelli get done with him. Especially if they both are working with Pop Petrelli and Pinehearst.

This makes me the happiest fan girl ever fyi. biggrin.gif

Yeah, wow. This was a big expansion on what we knew about Sylar's origin and helps tie in all the "Forgive me" stuff. Gabriel knew he was doing wrong, and he even tried to commit suicide until Elle saved him. He didn't want to become a monster. And Elle formed a real bond with him from there and she saw his potential to be a good person.

But the Company pushed for Gabriel/Sylar to kill so they could study this rare ability. This is a pretty big revelation. We see again more of the dark side of the Company. The Company doesn't have too much of a heart. They are concerned with results, as we've seen again and again. As Noah said, they expected Gabriel to kill again, they just wanted it on their watch. The Company didn't have faith in Gabriel to change. But from the looks of things, the Company wanted Sylar to kill so they could observe his ability "in the wild". The Company didn't care about the victims or Gabriel's lost soul. And we saw how that plan turned out: Sylar ended up being the cause of some major problems for the world, and the Company as well.

I think being a Petrelli had something to do with his special treatment.

personally I can easilly see this tying into a lot of interaction between sylar and elle at pinhearst. Sylar helps to ground elle psychologically so she can re-gain control of her powers, and elle helps to keep sylar going on the path to redemption.

All this time, from 2nd season through the first episode of this season they knew each other yet they acted like they did not have a past at all. It is kinda weird.

Elle was still sympathetic to Sylar, and may I add acting "normal" even after he killed the finger gun guy(forgot his name) a year ago, something must have happened to Elle that made her a "psychotic little girl." I thought it was just the result years of abuse and neglect from her father. It makes her more interesting to me.

Although I would be really confuse if they didn't explain why she seemed normal last year.

The only thing I can think of to explain why their actions over the previous seasons would not suggest any prior history is that when both of them were with the walls of the company, the haitian took their memories.. it's sadly the only thing that makes sense to me.

Elle and Sylar DID act like they knew each other before. During their Level 5 encounter, Sylar said that Elle was to blame for Sylar killing people, perhaps as much as anyone. He referred to her by name and referred to her past actions (now revealed to be her prodding him to kill again) which is completely consistent with what we now know their past to have been. Elle was pretty naive when they first met, she hadn't seen him slice someone's head open. Being an agent and having been exposed to everything Sylar did after their first meeting, it's entirely plausible that she gave up on trying to "save" him and certainly she had given up on him after he killed her father.

Question: When did Sylar encounter Elle in S2?

Answer: When she blasted him, from behind, in Mohinder's lab.

Sylar barely had a chance to know Elle was there, let alone a chance to say, "Hey, I know you." And Elle was concentrating on stopping him from killing.

I think these two will work together in the future, but I'm not seeing them become great pals unsure.gif

I find it funny that Bennet HATES Sylar and he sort-a made Sylar who he is.

After this, Sylar sees Elle as just another Company agent.

Sylar has been jaded by Elle. I doubt he'll want to team up with her. After all, he almost capped her on level five.

I was very happy with the character interactions, and am amazed at the chemistry between Gabriel and Elle. HRG was pretty messed up though, and it made me sad to see Elle act the way she did.

Well, I wouldn't write of a Sylar/Elle thing yet. I mean... if Sylar is learning that he can be forgiven... than he may learn to forgive too. After all, the company made Elle do what she did... and she did try to stop him.
You never know. When a person (even Sylar I guess...) Turns over a new leaf, who knows.
