L seemed a little smothered by alpha dog Arthur. But he saw an opportunity to take A out, and he took it (and took control of the Company too!) Way to go Linderman, you stuck it to a mind reader and he didn't even see it coming.

It did add some definate dimension to Linderman - gave him more of a grey hat then a black hat.
He seemed alot more sympathic especially when it came to Angela, makes me wonder if he and her had a thing and he had real feelings for her.

I think Linderman got tired of being number 2, and wanted to whack Arthur while gaining Angela's trust in 1 swoop.

I agree and I also think think this too:

In the behind the scenes clip of the episode you can see Linderman when the couple is toasted and he has a melancholy look on his face. It really seems like he secretly over the years cared for her.
I really believed.
"I can't watch him destroy you like this."
I think Linderman wanted everything Arthur had and he didn't - the beautful wife, the kids to control and the power.

Of course he did, which means that there's a chance that she had at least one kid with him, because every founding male had a thing with/for angela petrelli...
Sad part is, with this hint about linderman, this statement actually is true to a majority of the male founders that we've seen so far.

I think there is much evidence to show Arthur is the father of all her kids - casting especially. Nathan was already born when they met and unrequited love sounds up Linderman's sad life Alley.

Well Linderman could have anticipated that if Angela knew the truth she would act accordingly and attempt to kill her husband. I mean with Arthur dead Nathan and the D.A would not be able to prosecute him meaning Linderman remains safe.
Simply put Linderman planned it so he would remain a free man.

Oh it was a coup as much as it was for her and Nathan's benefit. Telling Angela there was no way Arthur could live - to save Nathan's life he would have to die. Linderman knew just what he was doing.

I totally disliked Linderman as a character in season one, but seeing how he is with Angela, I dunno. He seemed so much nicer.
Does anyone else get the feeling that Linderman only had the car "bumped" enough to "scare" Nathan and not to actually kill him?

I'm not talking the three petrelli brothers here. I'm talking a kid completely separate.

Well, behind the eclipse says Linderman has no kids. And this would be the official, Angela Petrellis baby hiding service. Oy, no.

Ah, thanks for keeping me informed, as I don't keep up with behind the eclipse!

I thought that it was Arthur, and not Linderman, who actually put the hit out on Nathan.

Yeah, Arthur put the hit out on Nathan, but he told Linderman to do it. In that scene where Angela finds out about Arthur and Linderman and Arthur uses that mind persuasion mojo on Angela, Arthur was telling Linderman that because Linderman failed to get rid of Nathan the first time, doing it a second time would make them look way too suspicious or something like that. The first time wouldn't be as suspicious because it could've been any number of criminals Nathan helped put away.

Just because Linderman could stand to see Arthur mind-rape Angela doesn't mean they had a thing. I think it would be hard for anyone with "a shred of morality" left to stand by and watch without doing something eventually. Linderman had been friends with Angela almost as long as he'd been friends with Arthur, so he obviously cares for her. But all the same, I think they could be complete strangers and it would be difficult to just watch happen repeatedly. It'd be like seeing someone abuse his/her spouse and doing nothing. Actually, that's what it was.
I think Linderman knew he was staging a coup at this point, but I don't think he's ruthless enough to use protecting Angela as the excuse for his coup.
