I forget, if the detail had been mentioned already, but which character was responsible for painting the mural* of the earth splitting in two in the alley, which Peter and Claire saw (in the present time) while running from Knox and Flint? Was that info ever told?
LowerTheBar
In the future, fPeter told pPeter that he (fPeter) had painted them. I'm not sure exactly when he did that. It doesn't seem, now that fPeter is dead, that the mural should be there. So I guess someone else painted it. Spirit Usutu?
Citizen
Actually, Future Peter doesn't even mention the paintings. I'd assume the precogs of the future painted them, but then we have the one at the docks where Mohinder was going to throw away the serum. Hmm.

Oh, weird... I just looked at the screencap:
I think it's a different image than the one shown when Fpeter showed Ppeter the sights, iirc. I'll hafta see if there was a screencap of that one, but I'm pretty sure the one from the future was the same as the original one linked to in the first post...

Thats from It's Coming, another example of the disaster being painted in the present timeline.

Yeah, and I thought I remembered Peter sayin' that this was the alley where Claire shot him in the future, so I figured the painting should be about the same.

So, I think it's supposed to be the same alley, but the murals are different (maybe it was re-painted in the future?)

Compared with image before filming...

The one at the docks - good question!

I found the info that the alleys should be the same, from the recap at nbc:
QUOTE
Peter wants Claire to go home and preserve her innocence, but she insists on staying, determined to protect him. When Knox and Flint knock on the door, Claire tells Peter to run down the fire escape; she has a plan. Claire dives out the window and meets Peter in the same alley where she is destined to kill him. Together, Peter and Claire lift a manhole cover and escape into the sewer.
So, the paintings should be the same, in the same location, unless it needed to be repainted 'cuz it's graffiti or something...

I think that the original set/area wasnt available at the time of filming so they just hoped noone would notice. lol

I'd like to point out that on the door just below the mural is the number 616, which was the original number of the Beast in some of the earliest bibles...

Intentional? huh.gif

Maybe only Peter saw it. I imagine it has to be something tied to peter, cause a mural staying up for 4 years in manhattan is just crazy.

I think it's more intentional in the sense that it' a Marvel reference: Earth-616...

Yeah 616 makes me think of Earth-616 as in the main marvel universe. Even though Joe Qseems to look at it as a fan created number many of the writers throw it in as an easter egg.

Well, I sorta got an answer about who painted the murals of the earth splitting in two in the BTE for this ep (though they didn't address the two murals supposedly bein' the same in the alleyway - notta big deal - just a fun thing to notice):
QUOTE
One ‘ROESian asked:
“Who painted the murals of the Earth where it looks like they split in two in the alleyway, and which ‘HEROES’ character painted the one at the dock where Mo gave himself the injection? Or did Usutu do some traveling before we first see him in Africa?”

Very, very good question. Is there someone else out there painting the future? Is it someone we’ve already met? Did Isaac paint it before his death? The answers are coming.

And that's wild about the Earth-616 reference...
