claire dies then the catalyst will be lost with her.. So she is essential to the show, it will be hard to get rid of her.

... And the future that Peter and Matt saw will never happen. That sounds like a win to me, even if it's somewhat of a bittersweet one.

But... Claire's not going to die anyway. It's almost guaranteed that she'll survive somehow.

definitely claire because two reasons:

1)sylar opened her brain and thought that there is something different special..
2)arthur looking at her picture which was attached to kaito.. because kaito handed her to HRG to keep her safe from the company all these years..

Like I said before, it's pretty simple. The catalyst to the formula is the blood of anyone born with a natural ability to heal. Adam was the other and probably only catalyst apart from Claire.

The only other person I can think of that might be a catalyst at this point (seeing as Adam is dust) is possibly Elle. She is the only other person that's been kept under wraps in the company.

Well Kaito would have had it at some point wouldn't he? ...I'm so confused when it comes to this catalyst stuff.

I am holding out hope that it isnt Claire but Hiro.

They never explained if they could test to find out the exact ability someone had when they were an infant, only that they could figure out if someone had an ability or not (ie Nathan) and give them abilities.

If someone HAD to have regenerative ability, they would have had to known that Claire had this ability at birth. In season 1 they showed Kaito giving Claire to HRG and telling him that when her powers manifested, she had to go back to the company.

If regeneration is not that important for the catalyst to survive, then maybe Hiro was created with the catalyst and everything else was a rouse.

I think others have hinted at this, but it just clicked for me...

it is obvious that Claire cannot be the only catalyst...because before she was born the formula was used on Jessica/Niki/Barbara and Nathan.

So she may be the catalyst that Kaito was referring to (not a stretch for it to be Hiro either though).

So if Claire dies that could be okay, just prove to be a road block until they identify who is next. Heyden P did say on an interview for Conan Obrian (I think) that she knows that she could die in Heroes, so she just needs to stay on the writers good side (we lost two writers, so I wonder if the remaining writers are not on her side)...
