With a few more episodes left to air this year, it's a bit early to be talking about the Christmas hiatus.
Nevertheless, NBC announced their
Winter 2009 schedule today, and
this is a heads up that Heroes will not be returning until February.

What will you be doing to pass the time?
Please do not start a countdown thread for the next "Volume" until after episode #13 (December 15) has aired.

It was already announced on a BTE that Heroes would be on hiatus for 7 weeks, landing on Monday February the 2nd

And yeah, can't wait to start a countdown thread after episode 13 and program a rewatch.

December 15 to February 2.
I can handle that. I can.

Makes you wonder what kind of a cliff hanger they'll leave us with this time.

I'm just kinda worried that Heroes will lose more of their audience in the hiatus.

I too was thinking this, so hopefully it will have a very good cliffhanger.

I agree, revel. This season so far has imho started out so convoluted
because of the too many characters and some rather goofy plotlines (such as Mr. Black Hole), hence the firing of both Jeph Loeb and Jesse Alexander earlier this month. Hopefully during the holiday hiatus they'll have time to work out the stories to make them more sensible...and hopefully Claire won't be at the center of everything like she has been through the whole series.

I read in Syfy Portal that there are questions if there is going to be a 4th season, it's looking bleak.

Oh well... At least we had two-and-a-half seasons worth of fun.

Come on, we survived nine months of hiatus. We can handle six weeks, especially as most of us will spend one of those getting stuffed on turkey.

I LOVE where Heroes is going currently, and if it continues like this (and I have no reason to believe differently), then people will be hooked enough to remember the show in February.

I'll be reading the new comics and possibly watching the new web series and watching KyleXY which airs at the same time as Heroes would if it was on.
Does anyone know when the Evolutions start? We signed up for Pinehearst and yet nothing has happened.

I'm pretty sure the Evolutions are the iStories, in the
Friend or Foe forum.

Wow. It starts on the day I go on winter break, and comes back the day I return. How...how am I supposed to survive those lonely months?!
WTH Heroes!

My Winter breaks starts son the 15th, so I'll already be thinking about the huge cliffhanger while taking my bimestral exams.

I have been putting off watching prison break, smallville and various other shows in preparation for this hiatus. Dunno how long I can ration these shows for until the far superior heroes i back!

Well, this seven week hiatus I can handle.. as long as it IS SEVEN WEEKS. I have this great fear that there will be a SAG strike.. and Heroes will just decide to not air... for another year, therefore killing all chances of good ratings.

Oh, just like normal! Nathan gets shot and/or exploded and put into a predicament that may very well decide the next phase his psyche and/or character goes into!
Nah, just kidding!

I really can't wait to see what they do! It better be as shocking as usual!

Monday nights are going to be a bit on the blah side for that six weeks for me, I just hope that when the show comes back in Feb. that they haven't lost the edge of your seat vibe that they have going on this season. I love how things are turning out so far.

Seeing as they are 7th in the ratings and 6th in dvr ratings. I dont see how you would have much to worry about. I will be watching old and new night rider episodes and also football. and holiday specials.
