HOLY CRAP!! I loved this episode! So many moments where I was just sitting there thinking "That did NOT just happen!" It shocked me and surprised me and that is what I watch Heroes for. This episode delivered.
And I loved the parallels between the Haitian and his brother and Peter and Nathan. Total genious.

I agree, I thought this was as near perfect of an episode as Heroes has had in awhile.

LOVED the Hiro part at the comic book shop. And the end Hiro and Claire, plus the Hiro taking Claire, Sylar and Elle moment.
Liked the Matt/Daphne story.
Liked the HRG/Sylar/Elle.

BEST. EPISODE. EVER.
Ok, maybe not THE best, but wow. I think this is the first time all season where I was absolutely on the edge of my seat the whole time. This is the Heroes I know and love!
..although I seem to have forgotten the point of Nathan and Peter going to Haiti...

I must agree with many of you... this show was one of the best this season if not the best. sees like the writer's are taking us back to the whole ' ordinary people with extraordinary abilities' thing.
Basically, as i see it, this show was just a way for our characters to do a little self reflection. I don't actually think the 'eclipse' itself is all that important. it's just a way to keep the story going.
Awesome show, and getting better!

I loved this episode also. They (the writers) are doing a real good job this season. I really like how they are mixing things up. It was cool to see Claire meet Hiro and I liked Daphne's story also.

This was hands down my favorite episode of the seasons! It was Heroes at it's best, getting back to it's roots--and finally make sense of the "Save the cheerleader, save the world" catchphrase that got people watching in the first place!

Loved tonight's episode, it was full of those tiny moments that made season 1 shine, the moment with Matt and Daphne in the corn field was SO SWEET, that to me finally made their relationship truly believable and legitimate, it just felt SO RIGHT. And Daphne's moment with her father was very very sweet.
It was shocking to see Maya didn't actually leave for her country, I just went back to watch Eris Quod Sum to see her leaving scene again, and there was no plane ticket in the envelope she was given, there was a credit card, some money, and a passport (perhaps a fake passport which she obviously didn't have as she entered the country illegally, which actually makes FAR more sense than her passport magically being with her). I'm actually glad that she isn't gone, I desperately want Maya's presence in the series to be justified, and I actually want her to DO something that will make her more than a waste of what could be a good character. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for that.
Hurray on us apparently getting evil Sylar back, I think good Sylar was great and I was totally in for the ride, but I was always certain he'd turn back somehow... too bad for Elle though... so I guess the rumors of her death were true.
I loved how the Haitian kicked ******, and was glad to see Nathan fly in a more offensive way instead of just flying for the fun of it, it's the simplest power, but for some reason it's the one power that I always get excited watching.
Most of all I ABSOLUTELY LOVED, that they explained how there were still 9th Wonders issues remaining, and that they remembered Isaac's sketch book, which he gave to the Asian messenger before being killed. This episode to me was 100% the Heroes I love all over again.

My husband who has occassionally fallen asleep during "Heroes" the last two seasons was so excited he wouldn't let me take a bathroom break till he got back, he didn't want to risk missing anything I couldn't tell him about right away.
It was fantastic. The best! My emotions were all over the place! Daphne and Matt back together! Daphne gels with her Dad.
Sam and Frake help Hero and give clues to the Messenger with the sketchbook. EXCELLENT!
Clair bear so brave and she should kick HRG. Save daughter first then kill assailants. New rule of thumb, Dad.
I don't think the Haitian killed his brother but left him a veggie (I hope) but he got to be a Hero in a big way.
I want to kick Nathan. I love Peter again. And Sylar and Elle! omg!
I don't want Elle to die.
And I got to see my Maya.
And Hiro saving the day for the Bennets!! What more could I want.
Well, Elle not to die for one.

While I won't be one quoting the favorite line of the episode, it was a really good episode that I believe finally sets the show back in the direction it was intended to go.
I love that we FINALLY have Hiro doing something integral to the plot. I hadn't realized that he'd never actually "met" Claire yet - just that little revelation made you feel like something special was going to happen. Also, bringing back George Takei (hopefully more next episode) is always a good thing.
Matt & Daphne have been the one plotline this season I've enjoyed nearly every moment of, and this episode only enhanced it further. When one character's motivation (Matt) is to help another (Daphne reconnect with her dad) and then steps out of the way to let it happen, that's when the love beginning is move believable.
Nathan is back to doing what he does best - all the wrong things for the right reasons.
HRG is hardcore, yo.
In five short minutes, we cast considerable doubt on Sylar being a Petrelli and spun him back around to being a "killing force of nature" like he was always intended to be. While it was cute to see him all domesticated in the future, I prefer seeing him as a "wild card". And while I don't like seeing Elle go, I'm sure Kristen Bell has a busy schedule, and killing her helps move Sylar forward instead of treading water.
It's about time someone got through to Mohinder that he's been a giant ****** - funny that it had to be this season's big villain! He's almost hit that Issac Mendez-like tipping point where he realizes his place in the larger scheme of things, and when he does, I'm sure it's time for him to exit the show.
I'm still waiting to find something I like about Peter. I'm trying, I really am, but I just can't.

Amazing episode. It isnt every day you get to see your favorite character get his throat cut by your other favorite character. And he comes back better than ever! Sylar is back baby. The switch happened a little fast, and my head was left spinning a bit, but I cant wait to see where he is going.
I was a little sad to see Sylar off Elle, especially after seeing him on her

I do have to say I like Sylar as a lone wolf, and if he is about to go on a multi member petrelli killing spree, he will be able to do his best work unfettered, without an emo blonde hanging on his arm. How is he supposed to do his Boogeyman-appear-from-nowhere schtick with Lightning Lass tagging along?
Nathan is back to being morally gray, very season1esque, and it will be nice to see Nathan interacting with the Pinehearst crew.
Hiro is made of awesomeness. If we could forget he is 10 years old inside, or take the good of this ChildHiro, remove it, and put it in AdultHiro, we would have a very balanced, likeable guy.
MORE SETH GREEN AND BRECKIN MEYER PLEASE!!!!!
seriously, these men are masters of the stoicly comic. Anyone that saw Sexdrive knows what Seth can do with a straight face, and it is better than most comedians can do period. We NEED them to be in more episodes. Please, for the love of God, keep them in the show as long as you can. /endfanboyrant

I really hope Seth and Brecking make appearances from time to time, for a show like this these two guys seem like perfect fits, c'mon, two comic book geeks realizing the characters they've been reading about are real! That's just freakin' amazing.

Get over first season, Gabriel ain't that guy anymore. He's not going to be Mr. Mom but he isn't Mr.--cut--your--head--take your brain. He's grown and changed. And did you see all the stuff on the net with him in his
SWAT gear. He's working for or with someone. He's no longer the lone wolf you seem to want him to be. The question is which side? Nathan's or Angela's? He's clearly cut a deal to keep Elle safe from HRG.

Actually, I havnt been visiting the spoiler forum since S3 started, I want fresh, virgin episodes. And I was under the impression that Sylar just admitted he isnt going to change, right before he cut open Elle's head. I was also under the impression He was a lil P.O.ed about his mommy/daddy issues being exploited (even if that isnt the case, it will still probably provoke a fight between Gabe and his rents). I want to see him vengeful, kinda how he was at the start of the season. I have no problem with Sylar working together with someone, but I want to see him be his own man.

Sylar admitted that people never really change, but I think he mostly meant that part of him that is Sylar will always be there, but I'm pretty sure there are some changes at least in motivation and drive for him in Volume 4.

Another fantastic episode. I was hoping they wouldn't disappoint in the conclusion of the 2-parter, and they didn't. Lovely, lovely, lovely. But a couple things still weren't explained. Are everyone's powers reset? Or did they return just as they had them before? Does Arthur still have all of his? I'd assume so, since Sylar has his telekinesis back... though they've always been vague about that being his original power that he didn't have to steal back last time when he was cured by Mohinder's blood.
Cute scene between Sylar and Elle in the beginning, although I'm curious where they managed to rustle up a big cushy blanket in an empty house. And good catch, Zachary! When Elle was shot Kristen flung herself backwards, but he kept her from hitting the ground quite nicely. Wonder how many times they had to practice that.
This is another beautiful episode: I loved the shot of the eclipse reflected in the shattered glass in Nathan's cell. The colors of the semi-darkness were lovely, and the scenes in the jungles of Haiti were gorgeous, too. And I loved the edit between Sylar and Elle running through the supermarket and the shot of Samedi pulling the captive girl along through the village. Very pretty.
I loved that Flint was still using a lighter as a torture technique even after he lost his abilities, and I'm not too sad that the big lug has been taken out of commission for awhile. This is the problem with being a bad guy: they turn on each other so easily.
Which, apparently, is now something you have to worry about when you're a good guy, too. Interesting moment when Nathan told the Haitian that no-one should ever have to make the sacrifice he had to make by killing (or taking down) your own brother... Something he and Peter have dealt with several times in possible futures. And you just know it's not going to be the last time Peter and Nathan are pitted against each other! Nathan's revelation in the jungle was unexpected and yet believable, what with all the flip-flopping this guy is prone to. Now this should be interesting. Brother against brother, yet again!
"Dude, this is... dude." Breckin Meyer and Seth Green were once again phenomenal. And hysterical. "The Bozos" were great together, and interacted wonderfully with their comic book heroes who showed up in their store. Seth Green's pep talk was super cute, convincing PeterPan!Hiro to come out. The other adorable part of the scene was the fan geek moment of the two Bozos discussing when exactly Claire Bennet and Hiro Nakamura have met before. I swear I've read that exact exchange in a couple of these discussion boards. ;-) "Kirby Plaza doesn't count--they never even spoke to each other!"
Sylar! Sylar! You slit Sylar's neck! Undo it! Undo it! And yet I was pretty unconcerned with Claire's demise. Felt bad and all, but didn't really care about the fate of the series. Sylar... now that would have been a tragedy. And oh my lord, Sylar killed Elle! Right? Or not? Did he stop part way through? We never saw Elle actually dead...? I liked the two of them so much! Why are they making us keep Matt and Daphne and their parade of unbelievable emotion and then have Sylar and Elle and all their incredible chemistry self-destruct? Sylar and Elle's emotional, sexual scenes aren't even that flashy, considering what else you see on TV these days. The reason their scenes are so electrically charged (no Elle pun intended) is because of the actors and the way they play off of each other, not because we see butt crack and almost-nipple. I loved Kristen's delivery of, "You're hurting me..." It worked on so many levels--he was hurting her physically and emotionally. Their scenes are so fabulous, the writers have to let us keep them...right? (Total fake-out with the Elle-as-Noah's-mom thing. But I suppose that future has been shot to hell at this point.)
Bits and Pieces:
* Nathan and Samedi's scene was good, in the jail. Nathan's French is still all kinds of terrible, but both actors turned in very nice performances.
* Daphne has cerebral palsy! Poor thing! I'd have thought she'd have more symptoms than just the gait, though...
* Hayden Panetierre was fabulous in her "death scene". She's really an amazing actress. With an amazingly bad wig. Please don't make me beg anymore! Get rid of it!
* Go Haitian! Now do we get to know your name? We got your brother's?
* Matt and Daphne finally interested me during their scene in the cornfield, and by the time he affectionately called her "Speedy," I was sold.
* I'm glad Mohinder lizarded out before Maya could get sucked back into the storyline.

You see how ridiculous those critics who are angry the show does not react to their know-better-points? This show is planned to go on until the Maya predicted end of the universe in 2012 >:-O and in some episodes you feel the big arc and the instant excitement at the same time like in this one. Don't listen to anyone, Tim Kring, go on!
