This is a sad day today in the world of Heroes, as we lose the most loveable sociopath we ever saw! No, but it's sad, really, I was hoping we would see more of the character in future episodes... Apparently not... sad.gif Or at best only during flashback episodes...

This is one character I'll really miss in the show, personnally! I kinda hope she's not really dead (We saw him cutting, but we didn't saw him ending). But don't have too hope on it!

Goodbye Elle!
Aerdna
*sigh*

We knew it was going to happen, KBell was only supposed to be in a few episodes.

Syelle is no more ):
pawn6545
wow another wasted character.
Ard_Choille
It looked to me like he lost his nerve there at the end. I think they left it open to go either way with her...depending on her RL availability.
lauryn
Awwwww, I'm going to miss Elle a lot. ZQ and KB worked so well with eachother.

Finally Sylar did something that I just didn't like. sad.gif

I'm sure she'll be back.

Poor Elle, She was one of my favorite characters

I felt sooo bad when he was hurting her. What a ******. She was awesome in her own moments.

Goodbye eyecandy.

R.I.P. Elle sad.gif . She had to be one of my favorite female characters and I can't say I'm not a bit disappointed in my favorite character for killing her.
MartyKirra
The thing is, unlike Sylar's backwards-progression recently, Elle was making progress too. Her character started to have more "roundness", and it's sad that they decided to abandon ship all too soon before anything great could've been made out of her.
ClayAikenRocks
I am not sure I am more annoyed with the show killing Elle off or more annoyed at how ridiculous Sylar's character arc was this episode. Sure, Kristin Bell wasn't going to stick around permanently, but killing her off means she will never really truly come back. Kinda stupid to keep offing your interesting characters ain't it? But Sylar? WTF? He bonds with Elle when they both have powers, they forgive each other... and then like a day later he decides to kill her? STOOPID. Yes stoopid, for the writers were so dumb here that I have to spell the word incorrectly to convey just how freaking stoopid the writing was.
nickpowers101
I thought there was absolutely no need to kill her character off. There's so much they could have done with her character and explored different story lines and what not. But now, I guess not... *sigh*
dragon1604
At this point, I honestly would not even care if the writer's pulled a deus ex machina and had this entire season be a figment of Maury's imagination, while he's in the Pinehearst restroom, thinking of a bad season of some sci-fi he watches on and off.

LMFAO. The funny thing is I might even prefer that.

Yeah, seriously, it's just sad that I would prefer that they mindwipe all of this with a "It was a dream!" kinda thing.

This is not the Negative Thread here. Heck, this has nothing to do with the quality of the episode! Don't change the subject of the topic for your trolling, please!

The ship is sinking, and KB's gotten off of it in the nick of time. Kristen, please pull a Katherine Heigl and throw these hack-frakkers that masquerade as writers under the nearest 18-wheeler or steamroller you find.

Wow, Sylar is a cool character for the show but, he's done a lot of things I don't like, like killing a bunch of people.

I'm not so sure Elle is dead, they really didn't show what happened, and it looked as if Sylar stopped slicing her head. I hope she's not dead.

No its not. The ratings have been plummeting, the writing has been awful. Season 2 was poor, Season 3 has just been BAD. They had better turn it around in this next chapter or Heroes is in jeopardy.
Ingtar
The powers all came back, but so did the hunger. He is not a strong enough person to overcome the hunger right now. He might yet change, but the chance to make that believable is almost gone. He was like a heroin addict in withdrawal that finds a dose he had stashed away. He doesn't care who he kills to get it.

Then again, maybe he could tell that HRG was telling the truth and that Elle was not...

I lol'd. ;D

I really wish she hadn't become all mushy and doe eyed this season. She was fantastic as the cynical seductress with a wicked streak in "Generations." If she and Sylar hadn't gotten it into their heads that they could change their ways and raise a family, or whatever they thought it was that they could do, this season would have been hot stuff.
sweetdreamer
The shock treatment WAS hot stuff. lol

Back in season 2, Elle was my favorite part. Sad that out of the weird stuff that was born of season 2, maya was the one to stay.

Sylar's always been insane. But now he's losing that logic and inteligence that he had. At least before he knew what he wanted. Now he goes from "You deserve more than revenge Elle. I can take it all," to "People can't change. I know that because I don't know who my mommy is anymore" *headslice* He was never as erratic before.
Leek

Aww darn it Elle. Why'd ya have to go and get yourself killed?

I wish we could hold out for hope but there was taht spoiler pic that was floating around for the longest time that looked liek Sylar standing over Elle's body about to pour some kerosene over her.

sad.gif RIP Elle. It's always sad to see a character we've gotten to know go, but I guess it's the nature of the show. You will be missed, Elle.

Also, just a reminder, please try to keep posts on topic to what this thread is about, Elle's death. This isn't a general negativity thread. Thanks.

I'm sad now. I was really happeh about the Sylar/Elle thing. And now my friend is going to go back to hating Sylar for killing her favorite character.

Oh... I thought it was more than a week... it felt like a lot of the drama it created was longer than a week at least.

I'm really bummed about the death because Elle was basically the last female character that actually had offensive capabilities. The only one that can come close now is Tracy and she needs to first touch the person to freeze them. Most of the women left on this show either have defensive type powers or are more suited towards intrigue rather than actual fighting. I'm also a bit angry because even if the death was necessary, couldn't they have pulled it off more convincingly? Sylar was never so bipolar-- one minute he's screwing her, the next killing her; one minute, saving her life and then the next ending it. Just seriously, wtf? I just hate that her death is a symbolism for how badly they've ****** up Sylar's characterization this season.
theldub
ok it sucks that she got killed off, but why the HELL did she get sliced? doesnt sylar already have that power?

Sylar didn't have IA when he was screwing her. He slowly went beserk when his powers came back and with some HRG manipulations. You also saw Elle begin to be afraid of him, which just made things worse.

My normal reaction to all of this is usually, "I'll wait for the next episode for things to be explained more thoroughly." But then I realized that that's what I've been doing all along and I'm at my limit. Seriously, there just wasn't enough time for me to buy that he was going berserk over HRG's mind games and his IA coming back. So yeah... at the point where next episode is probably going to make or break it for me.

Also, something else that people bring up is WTF is up with Elle's passivity? It's not even the first time she's gotten Sylarized and the first time, she instinctively put out this massive electric shock that freed up all the Level 5ers. Now this time with her lover acting in a way that makes her start being visibly afraid of him and she doesn't instinctively use her ability in a defensive way at all?
jryan1027
Yes, but last time she was overloading from the fact her dad had died. That had been "fixed" and in all honesty, before she fell for him, she was begging Sylar to kill her in that cell. I'd say his betrayal was the last straw for her. She had no desire anymore. Who knows it's just a theory but I'd say the writers figured his slicing the top of Elle's head off would be a sure way to make us hate him again. Sorry to all you Sylar fans but personally I was really hoping he'd stay dead when HRG sliced his throat. I was cheering when I saw that. I just don't have a lot of interest in the guy anymore. I feel that with the introduction of Pinehearst there just really isn't a lot of need for him anymore. Then again, I've never been a big Sylar fan anyway.

I'm kind of sad to see her go...but at the same time, it's a main character dying off...and the show does need a little hedge trimming in the character department.

She said he was hurting her, I assumed he was crushing her and her ability to breath was bad.

Elle DOES NOT die. Sylar stops opening her head just at the end of the episode. Actually he suddenly discovers that she got pregnant of young Noah and decides to become a good father.

Um... I secretly hope she didn't die but um... I am thinking that is an unlikely prospect... I'm sorry to say that. sad.gif
jryan1027
I would say she's gone. We haven't had a serious death other than Adam all season. Things don't look so good for our little ball of static.
IotV
I'd say that she's dead - R.I.P. Elle! sad.gif
jamtrax
the writers would like to think that she's dead but i'm hinting a comeback.
TeamElle
First of all, if Elle is in fact dead: NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

Ok. This is the one thing that bugged me about this episode.

How does he go from this weirdly intense love and saving her by sacrificing himself to sawing her head open?
How do you connect with someone on that level and just killing her like that.

The hell!

What is happening to these characters!

Elle is not dead. Kerosine is used as an antiseptic for cuts and wounds and infections. Kerosine also stops the bleeding. Elle has a gun shot wound to her leg. You can see Sylar pouring kerosine on her leg.. Ofcourse she is not dead. She will be back. We will see her coming back pregnant.
evagolden
lol, looks like this gonna be the new fanbase rumor around here: Elle is not death, she'll come back, etc.! You know, I'd be happy to see a comeback of this girl, there is not enought girl character on the show, and she was a particularly good one, one of my favorite close to Daphne, but I don't have my hopes too high on this one. Sylar is back, we saw that, and Elle became his next victim. Now, yes, it's true we didn't saw the whole thing. If really she's not dead, man this is one huge cliffhanger! Sorta like when Hiro stabbed Ando, but even worse because last time, we know Hiro was out of character and that we'd know the truth soon but, this time, this was totally In-Character. So both can be true and, though I'd prefer she's still alive, my hopes are low on this one.

By the way, kerozene is not only used as an antiseptic. It can also be used to burn stuff. He could be making her funerals. One way or the other is possible.

I agree with this comment.
Akoji
I think that what Sylar did was really in-character... In the future he a good loving father, since Noah never said to him that he wasn't Angela son. In the future he thought that Peter was his brother. So when they were on the beach, he thought that she was using him again. His own power is something really ironic. He's a broken person, his ability let him repair and understand thing, except himself.
elargento
i wanted maya to be killed and they kill the 2 only characters i liked from season 2. elle and adam, way to go writers.
